The Last Dynasty {Complete}

Chapter two

My sister was fast to drag me into the silent royal palace that stood as a quiet shadow over the beautiful desert sand that was blessed by the gods themselves...my sister could smell the billowing incense fill the limestone halls...my sister soaked it in as we walked along the hall.

The letter of clean papyrus was clenched in my sweating palm as we reached the beautiful throne room...ancient carvings of pass pharaohs covered the limestone walls and a ceremony must have been taking place because three elder men bowed slowly to the golden throne that had a burning incense besides each leg of the throne...each of them muttering a prayers till elder man wrinkled and wearing a helmet of a general stood "who dares interrupt this ceremony?!" He shouted angrily.

I bowed in respect to the golden throne "I come with a letter of the high priest of the all mighty Amun" I mutter "hail to Amun" everyone in the room said but Mat...she was too young and still learning...a man young enough to be near my age that still had his long side lock stood holding a golden feather that was like the feather of Ma'at but the feather was used in burial ceremony to cast the peace and beauty of Ma'at over the destroyed corpse or a quickly rotting one.

He examined me "Egyptian are you" he muttered taking the letter from my hand "strong" he said...the man unrolled the scroll "joy to the gods" the man muttered "but are you ready?" The man muttered and the middle age general besides him rasped "what does it say you brainless fool?!" He shouted "he has been chosen by Amun himself as pharaoh" the man said the general gasped "hail to Amun" everyone said once again.

"This court was small" The side locked lord circled around me "you will make it grand again and save this empire from ruin...what shall we call you?"he hissed "Setiankhamun"my sisters eyes sparkled when the three men fell to their knees they bowed deeply that their noses pressed against the limestone floor "all hail Setiankhamun the first of his name" they all said and my sister grasped my hand tightly and smiled "the beautiful cleopatra will be glad that Egypt rests in your hands and entrusts you with it" the three men said together.

"We shall receive your things and fix your troubles" the elder general muttered "What is your first command all mighty one" the side lock man said "receive my father and take him in for treatment he suffers from a common flu" I said with pride The general bowed his head "I am general May IV by the way your majesty"the elder man hissed.

"You" I pointed to the middle age man still bowing to my feet "gather servants and people for my armies and for my palace" I said "yes your majesty...my name is General Neferneb" he said before walking off...I looked down to the Bowing man still holding the feather "Gather farms and go to the moist lands start growing crops gather tax collectors worthy of the job and begin to refill the treasury" I said smiling as my sister squeezed my hand harder..."yes your majesty...I am vizier Muntuhotep".

After they were all dismissed my sister stared at me smiling "your a pharaoh?" She muttered "not yet...I haven't been crowd yet...for now call my Seti" I muttered..."or your majesty sister Princess of Egypt" I said smiling..."so I can execute those boys?" She said smiling evilly "no You can't" I say running my fingers over the golden seat..."sad Seti just sad"she rasped.

I sat down on the throne that was cool from the shade and was hit by a nice cold breeze..."I'll have servants?" She muttered I nod "anything you would ever want" I muttered.

Hours later

Sitting silently in the throne room with my sister exploring the palace I there was suddenly heard sandals...my mother and a bunch of men wearing dirty kilts and caring heavy trunks and others caring pieces of furniture..."Seti"my mother said smiling I stood and hugged her "mother" I said silently "when I said go to Thebes I didn't mean to become pharaoh but this is great" my mother said silently..."are you sure you can do it?" She muttered...I nod "I am now the pharaoh of Egypt the son of Ra and  the chosen one of Amun" I said smiling.

"Your majesties" Muntuhotep bowed..."I have done what's ordered tax collectors are doing their jobs farmers are working across Egypt and the treasury is piling up slowly your majesty soon the empire will be great again" he said..."good now find men worthy to refill the temples of our gods...without them our empire would have never risen again" I said..."yes your majesty" Muntuhotep bowed before leaving once again..."you are doing well already my son" she said smiling "thank you mother...I use my wisdom given to me by Amun" I said smiling..."where is Mat?" my other said realizing the missing Mat "exploring the palace she might be in the south where your apartments are...mother you are the mother of a pharaoh and grandmother to my children in the future" I said smiling...she raised her chin in honor "thank you my son"she said smiling "I am honored and thank the gods" she muttered "Slaves put those of my family's belongs in the south side of my palace" I hissed dismissing them off with a shooing motion.

My mother bowed her head to me heart fully "mother we will have a banquet in our families new royal blood" I said smiling "we will be honored by all those retired Heroes in our empire and our people"I said and she smiled as she disappeared down the hall "I would love that" she hissed.

Neferneb returned and bowed with the hundreds  men and women behind him dressed in Greek togas  and linen kilts and dresses with bronze skin some were young and none seemed elder but some were middle aged..."welcome to my palace...you have been chosen to be servants to my family and loyal...you all have been questioned tortured and some of you have had your tongues removed for blabbing to much...you will serve me weather you like it or not and will take orders from every man above you but citizens coming with complaints to something" I said to the smiling.
