I wake up, I was gasping for air, I did it, I actually reversed time, I mean I don't think that it's just a dream, It felt so real, Mary is still sleeping, maybe I shouldn't freak out yet, I'll try to observe my surroundings and see if it matches my "dream"
It was time for lunch, the train stopped, I acted normally and so far, everything is the same, that's when I know it's real, It was time to ride the train but I stopped
"Mary, No." I said firmly
"What?" She said
"I said No. We won't be riding the train" I said
"Why? the train will leave in five minutes, explain it to me before it leaves" She said
"Someone will bomb the train and derail it" I said
"What?! You experienced it?" She asked
"I did, I apparently reversed time before I fell to my death but I saw you die" I said
"Well, Let's get our stuff from the trunk and leave!" She said
We took our bags and left the Train. The moment the doors of the train closed, I got a headache and my nose started to bleed again, maybe It's because I changed our fates because of my decision to leave the train
"So what do we do now?" She asked
"We should probably find another way to the city" I said
We looked around town for ways of Transportation, there are buses but, the last bus just left and the next bus won't return until 3 PM, we saw some Bike rentals but taking the bicycle will take too much time and the XILs would have already left that site of the Meteorite. After looking around town, We found a Taxi, We went to the city across the mountains, when we got there, We saw the train arrived to the station
"You said the Train will derail" She said
"I don't know, but It didn't happen, Maybe It really is just a dream" I said
"We just wasted our time, Anyways, We're here in the City, We still have fifteen minutes before 2 o'clock, We should find the Meteorite's location" She said
We roam around the city to look for Keith's whereabouts, We ask the locals exactly where the Meteorite landed, They said it was beyond the Forest, So we walked to the Edge of the city, where the forest starts, We started to walk forward, then we eventually reach a fenced area owned by the government
We were looking for a place to climb it, We eventually found a tree with a branch strong enough to support us that goes across the fence. It looks like the guards are in a taking a break in a mini cottage. We sneak towards the Meteorite, The meteorite was about the size of a house and I see that there is an opening in it. We enter the opening and I see Keith and another guy leaving the meteorite with a bag of Querlintro Crystals. Mary points her gun at them, then the other XIL points his gun as well
"Oh My God!" Keith said with annoyance
"Nice to see you too Keith" I said
"How did you get here? I even made sure to bomb that Train if my sensors detect your presence" He said
"It doesn't matter how" I said
"Why are you here Mark? I already let you go" He said
"I came here to stop you" I said
"What ever crap that woman told you is not true and said that to you to turn you against me" He said
"Then why are you guilty about it?" I said
"What guilty?" He said
"If she was bluffing, then why did you attempt to kill me last night?!" I said
"It's because... argh, I don't have time for this, I'm running out of patience, This time i'll give you a chance, just let us go or I'll shoot both of you" He said then Mary gets ready to shoot
"Just let them go" I said then I hold Mary's gun down
"Leave us alone Mark, Final warning" Keith said while walking away
Mary and I left the site, we almost got caught by the guards who just finished their break, we exited through the small hole in the fence that we found then we walk back towards the center of the city
"So what do we do now?" Mary asks
"We follow them, Keith is eager to use the device, So I assume he'll use it tonight" I said
We used a Taxi to go back to the other town, because we assume Keith's sensors are still docked in the cliff side, We buy train tickets to go back. It was another 3 hours on the train, we were silent most of the ride, when we got back, We drove back to Mary's apartment
"Why did we go back here? Aren't we going to follow Keith?" I said
"I'm calling back up and I need to get guns and bullets because this isn't just some brothers' quarrel anymore, this is real and this is dangerous" She said
After Mary packed up her stuff, we drove back to the highway, We left the car and went to the woods, We hid in the trees then she started to reload her gun with Tranquilizer bullets, the other Policemen also arrived. We got ready for the raid, the destroyed entrance is guarded by heavily armed men
The police started Tranquilizing them, once they fell, we entered the Building, The police kept shooting the guards but the ones that had bulletproof vests had to be shot with real bullets since they shot back and the tranquilizers won't work on them
I run towards Keith's room but he wasn't there, I saw Keith's plans. The thing that imploded in 2097 was actually a Time Machine too and he intends to prevent that from happening and use it to go back further in time, but It isn't written why he is going further back in time
I run to the Project Xynox's workshop hoping that I'm not too late, hoping that Keith hasn't gone back yet, when I got there, Keith was already strapping himself to the Machine, Mary starts to shoot the other XILs but it was too late, the Machine was already activated
The machine starts to spin, I run to it and grab on to a metal handle, the Machine started to spin faster, I started to punch the glass of an empty pod, the glass eventually broke, I worked my way inside the pod before the Machine completes it's cycle, I strap myself onto pod, I got light-headed and then I see a bright colorless light
