Chapter Fifteen

Aston's POV

I walked away, leaving her behind staring at my retreating form.  I pushed open the doors to the club and walked out to my car.  I jumped in, buckled up, and banged my head against the horn of my steering wheel, which caused the horn to go off and people give me surprised looks.  *knock knock* I look up to see an older police officer standing by my car pointing down.  I roll down my window, "Evening officer, can I help you?" I ask politely. 

"Could you please step out of the car son?" he asked.

I opened my door and stepped out.

"Could you please walk on this line one foot after the other?"

Oh my God, he thinks that I'm drunk.

I walked on the line without a problem.

"Could you please blow into this device?"

I blew into the breathalyzer thingy and he looked shocked.

"I'm sorry son for waisting your time, but may I ask why were you banging your head on the horn?"

"I walked out on this wonderful girl and I wish I hadn't."

"we all make mistakes like that son, but just for you to remember, you don't miss something until it's completely gone."

Alex's POV

I jumped on bed the tears still flowing from my eyes.  How could i have been so stupid?!  I let him kiss me and then walk away.  I let him get my hopes up.  but why would he do that?  The way he looked at me with so much longing and even some lust in his eyes.........  I'm just so confused!!!

As i let the tears of confusion, sorrow, and longing fall down my face once again, there is a knock on my door.  I just lay there and hope they think that I'm not home.

*knock knock knock* "Hey Alex I know you're in there."

My head snaps off my pillow and before I know what is happening my body takes me to the door and opens it.

"What do you want?" i ask him in a small, quiet voice.

"I'm delivering your pizza.............what do you think I want?"

"To give me my pizza?"

"NO! I want to talk to you."

I open the door the rest of the way and walk over to the couch.  Ashton sits down next to me. 

"Listen, Alex, I want you to know that i haven't stopped thinking about you since I left the club."  He sighs before he continues.  "You seem like a nice girl and all..........."

Oh God here it comes.

"So i think that we should just......"

Great.

"Go to the movies some time and go have dinner."

"I completely understand that you want to be just frien.. Wait what?"

"I want to go out with you."
