Chapter Seventeen

Alex's POV

This week has gone by SO SLOW!!!!!!! Aston came to the club everyday this week. He is so sweet but overprotective. We talked while I served drinks, he also asked me to dance every night after my shift was over. He got so mad when a drunk when a drunk guy would come up and rudely ask for a drink. He almost beat the crap out of this dude who started dragging me to the men's bathroom. He came up behind us and ripped the guy off of me. He punched him right in the nose. He even beat the bouncer that was standing right there.

"Stay off my girl, asshole," he sneered. My heart fluttered when he said my girl.

"Hey Alex, you alright?" he asked pulling me away from my thoughts.

"Uhhh, yeah sorry lost in thought," I said smiling.

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yupers, what time again?"

"Noon."

"Alright, don't be late." I said as I walked to my car.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* I woke up to my alarm screaming at me. I hit the off button. Saturday. Ahhh, Ashton. So yummy.

I got up and took a shower. I washed my body and my hair and made sure that my legs were shaved. I walked out of the bathroom with my hair still in a towel to make the coffee really fast then I went to go finish getting ready. I walked back into the kitchen to pour the hot liquid we call coffee into a mug when

I looked up at the calendar.

Shelly's Birthday.

I dropped the coffee mug and it shattered. I heard a knock on the door but ignored it.

The tears started flowing down my cheeks and dripped off my nose and onto my shirt. I fell to my knees and let out a scream when all the tiny pieces of glass dug into my skin. I heard the door being kicked open and knew who did it when I felt Ashton's arms around me.

"Hey shhhhhh it's okay. Shhhhh let it out it's alright," he said comforting me.

"I'm sorry that I'm crying all over you and your nice shirt," I said between sobs.

"I'm not worried about the shirt, now hush and just let it out."

I cried on him for another hour or so.

"Oh my God, Alex, what happened to your legs?" he asked worry laced in his voice.

I looked down and said, "Oh I dropped the coffee cup and then I fell," I said looking down.

"Well we need to get this glass out of your knees before infection. He looked at me for a long time as if trying to ask me something,

"What?" I said confused.

"Well to make sure that all the glass is out, am going to have to take off your jeans," he said looking me in the eyes still.

"Well then do it," I said trusting him completely.

He started slowly tugging at my pants until they were off. I noticed he was looking at my legs for a while so I decided to bug him about it

"Like what you see?"

His head snapped up, he started blushing.

"Awww is the little Ashton embarrassed?" I asked in my baby voice.

He then started to pluck the glass out of my leg.

"Ouch, hey take it easy big guy I was only joking," I said wincing.

"Well let's watch our mouth then," he said smiling.

It took him another five minutes before he finished. Then unexpectedly, he pick me up and carried me bridal style to the bathroom. He laid me down in the shower and looked for the first-aid kit. He got out gauze, peroxides, and two of those huge knee band-aids. He put provide on a piece of gauze and wiped down both of my knees. When he finished that job he put the band-aids on. He laid me in the bed and pulled the covers over me.

I reached a hand out and grabbed his.

"Wait, can you lay down with me?" I whispered. He looked at me then lay down next to me. I snuggled into his chest and fell asleep.
