Chapter 4

Canaan laid on her bed in peace, until April busted throught her room. April immediately shook Canaan awake. Canaan didn't like many things, and being waken up was one of them. Canaan opened her eyes and gave April an evil death glare. That made April stop shaking her and send chills down her back. April slowly backed away.

"Easy now." April told her.

"You got 5 seconds to explain." Canaan said in a dark and drowsy tone.

"The guys told me what happened yesterday, so I came to see that your okay!" April answered. Canaan pushed herself up.

"Well I'm fine, but how did you get in my apartment?" Canaan got suspicion.

"Your auntie let me in before she left." She answered. Canaan stretched, but winced. She held her stomach.

"Are you okay?" April asked worriedly. Canaan nod her head.

"I'm fine. Just a bruise." Canaan smiled. April knew that Canaan would do anything to not make people worried about her.

"Okay." April said. Canaan walked to her closet and pulled out some clothes.

"Are you going to invite the guys to your little preformnce that the school is put up?" April asked. Canaan put some thought in it.

"Maybe." Canaan answered. She took her clothes and walked to her door.

"I'll be back." She warned April.

"Okay." April replied. About 10 minutes later Cannan came out in a neon green short sleeves shirt tucked in her black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. Her hair was in a out as usual. She still had the bandages wrapped around her left arm and stomach.

"Okay April ready?" She asked putting on her leather jacket. April nodded. Canaan grabbed her phone and they walked out of her room. Along the way Canaan saw a smile box in the kitchen. She went up to it. She read the address. It said her name and it was sent from her parents. Canaan opened the box. First came a letter.

To our dearest Canaan,

We are really sorry about not coming home, but we sent you this little gift as a apology. We are planning to visit you soon. We love you and don't forget that.

Sincerly, Mom and Dad.

Canaan put the note down and looked in the box. Inside was a necklace. She picked it up and saw that it had 5 small round crystals around a star. She knew exactly what the meant. Spirit, earth, air, fire, and water. April came up behind her and saw the necklace.

"That's pretty." She commented.

"My parents sent in."

"What do the crystals mean?" April asked.

"Spirit, earth, air, fire, and water." Cannan pointed them out as she said them.

"Cool." Canaan laughed. She threw the box away and put the necklace around her neck. They then headed to the lair. When they got there Canaan took off her jacket and followed April to the training room. The guys where already training. April and Canaan also did to moves that Master Splinter dimastrated. After that Leo suggested them to spare against one another. It was April againt Canaan, Leo against Mikey, and Raph against Donnie. The winners where Canaan, Leo, and Raph.

"Why doesn't Canaan verse against one of us?" Leo asked finally realizing that. Master Splinter explained that he didn't want her to go against them. Canaan was starting to think that Master Splinter was sexist, but there was probably a better reason than that. Training was over and everyone basically did what they usually do. Mikey was dancing to something, and Canaan walked up to him.
