Chapter 13

After the battle with Spike, who disappeared in thin air, they found Canaan in Mikey's arms completely black out.

"Canaan!" Raph yelled running up the her and Mikey. He grabbed Canaan and put her in his arms.

"Canaan?! Canaan wake up!" He ordered. Canaan opened her eyes slightly.

"R-Raph?" She said raspy. Raph sighed.

"Yeah it's me."

"My right side hurts really bad." Canaan warned.

"Don't worry we're going to get you some help. Just promise me you won't go to sleep."

"I promise."

"Let's get her back to the lair." Leo said. Raph covered Canaan some more with the blanket before picking her up. She hissed when Raph did.

"The side Raph."

"Sorry." Raph followed the others out into the shell razor. Raph sat down with Canaan in his lap. She whimpered in pain time to time, but held her tongue. Canaan was shaking in Raph's arms uncontrollably. Raph was looking at her and played with her hair the whole time.

"It... hurts." She whimpered.

"Shhh it's okay. We'll be at the lair soon." Raph told her as she fought to stay awake in his arms.

'I'm so sorry, Canaan. Who knew loving you could hurt this much.' Raph felt guilty. Watch her in pain was completely painful for him to watch.

Raph's POV

I'm such an idiot. I should never said those things to Canaan. If I didn't then she wouldn't run off and Spike wouldn't have gotten her. Her cries were painful. They sound like nails clawing at a chalk board. Just painful. When I tried to adjust her to make her comfortable. It only made it worse. I'm so sorry. I really am.

Normal POV

When they got back to the lair April and Master Splinter was shock to see Canaan in Raph's arms bruised up and a little bloody. Raph and Donnie went into the lab.

"Okay Raph. I'll take care of her." Donnie pushed him out and made him wait like everyone else. Everyone waited outside of Donnie's lab. During that time they heard Canaan groan and whimpered, but screaming was a different story. It wasn't long till Donnie came out.

"What was that?" Leo asked.

"The screaming. I had to forced some of her bones in place. I think she's passed out though."

"Can we she her?" April asked.

"I guess, but don't wake her." They all walked in. Canaan was lying on the couch sleeping roughly. She was bandaged up and cast up.

"I'm going to get her school work for now on until she gets better, and won't be falling behind." April said.

"Good idea, April. Raphael take Canaan to one of the spare rooms." Master Splinter commanded.

"Yes sensei." Raph picked her up gently. She moaned slightly before going back to sleep. Raph took her to the nearest guest room. He then laid her down on the bed where he covered her up.

"Thank you." Canaan mumbled. Raph smiled slightly.

"Your welcome."

Raph left the room and went to the kitchen. Leo saw and followed. Raph sat in the kitchen messing with the dust on the table.

"What's wrong Raph?" Leo asked.

"I wished I didn't been so hard on Canaan. She didn't do anything wrong, but my anger was the cause of her getting hurt. I'm truly sorry."

"Its okay Raph. We all do stupid things. We know the reason why you was so hard on her was because she went on that date with the boy, and that she haven't in awhile."

"Are you saying that I was jealous?"

"You total were, Raph. Don't deny it."

"I... was... not... JEALOUS!" He yelled not evening know that Canaan heard him from the room she was in.
