A Human and a Turtle *ON HOLD*

Chapter 8

Down in the sewers everyone was starting to get worried. Canaan hasn't shown up in about month. They would try to call her, but she wouldn't answer. They went to her apartment, but she wasn't there either. They where all training down in the sewers until a certain someone walked in. They saw Canaan wearing black pants,a oversize black hoodie, and her maroon bookbag. The hood was on her head so you couldn't see her face.

"Canaan!" Mikey yelled as he hugged her. She didn't hug back, she just had her pockets. Mikey let her go and the others walked up to her. April was the next one to hug her.

"Where have you been for a month?" She asked.

"Around." She answered.

"Why haven't you return any of our calls or messages?" Donny asked.

"I've been busy." She then crossed her arms.

"So what was with the detectives that day?" April asked. Canaan didn't answer.

"Hey guys quit with all the questions. Lets be glad that Canaan has returned safely." Mikey sais hugging her again.

"Michaelangelo is right. Enough with the questions. Glad to see your back Canaan." Master Splinter said. Canaan nodded her head and pushed Mikey off of her.

"Okay back to training." Master Splinter told everyone. As everyone went back to their position Canaan took off her bookbag and hoodie. April turn her head to she Canaan struggling to get her hoodie off revealing a tight fitted red shirt with a black zigzag in front of it. April screamed. The guys turned their heads to see what April was yelling about. Canaan's hair wasn't black anymore. It was red. Canaan sat her things down and went up to them.

"What?" She asked.

"Your hair... its red!" April pointed out. Canaan rolled her eyes.

"I'll explain later lets just get started." Canaan said walking up next to her. When they started Master Splinter notice that something was wrong with Canaan. Her techniques became sloppy, her punches were weak, and she lost against April from just one move. He knew for a fact that something happened. After training everyone sat down to here Canaan's new hair color.

"One night me and my auntie stayed at her brothers house. I was about to take a shower until my two twin cousins decided to put red die in my shampoo as a prank to cheer me up." Canaan explained.

"To cheer you up about what?" Leo asked. Canaan didn't answer right away.

"Nothing important." She answered sadly. After explaning that everyone did there regular routine. It was quiet for the most part. Canaan was asleep on the couch. Leo walked passed her and looked at her face. He saw that her face seemed paler than usual. Raph came in and didn't like how Leo was staring over Canaan.

"Leo want are you doing?" Raph asked with his arms crossed.

"Look!" Leo pointed at Canaan's face. Raph looked and didn't see anything wrong.

"I don't see anything wrong." Raph said. Leo rolled his eyes.

"The color in her face. Does it seem pale to you?" Leo asked. Raph stared at her for awhile.

"It does." Raph answered. They both stared for awhile.

"I know my face is beautiful and all, but I would be more happy if you guys didn't stare." Canaan said opening her eyes. The guys jumped and split. Canaan turned her body inward and went back to sleep. Hours past and Canaan felt someone shaking her. When she saw who it was she growled.

"What?" She said.

"We're about to do our nightly portal. Want to come?" Mikey asked. Canaan sat up a stretched.
