"Hold up! A what?!" I shout in disbelief staring at the psycho who thinks making up stories whilst I'm restrained is oh so funny.
"I'm telling you the truth Erica" Christian growls, frustrated that I'm not believing a single word coming from his mouth.
"C'mon, do you really expect me to believe that I'm a mythical being with superpowers?!" I look at him dead in the eye, I can't be anymore serious in this moment.
"Well, when you put it that way it sounds a little crazy" he says in defeat looking down at his hands not knowing what to say next.
"A little?!" I slouch back staring at the ceiling I squint my eyes noticing the black symbols that covered it.
I've seen all those symbols before.
I look at Christian who was now looking at the door, as if he was expecting someone. I remembered seeing a symbol like that the night he saved me, my eyes travel to his right hand and on his wrist was one of the beautiful symbols.
"Aries" I say out loud causing Christian to avert his attention to his wrist and then to me.
"Look at your right wrist" he says gesturing to my hands. I look back behind the chair at my tied wrists and gasp jumping back from shock tipping the chair over, falling on my back.
"Ooouuucchh" I moan cussing under my breath at how stupidly clumsy I am. Christian stands from his seat and proceeds to walk over to where I am hopelessly laying on my back like the turtle I apparently am.
"Well, hi there" he says looking down at me with a stupid smirk on his face.
"A little help?" I say wincing from the pain that was consuming the back of my head.
"Sure" he says grabbing the back of the chair pulling me up. As the front two legs of the chair settle back on the ground, my face aligns with Christian's.
"You should be more careful." He was so close, I could feel the warmth of his breath on my face as he spoke.
"Why is there a symbol on my wrist? What does it mean?" The proximity between us didn't phase me, I was more focused on knowing what was going on.
"Cancer-" he paused and looked at my reaction, seeing if I understood what he meant.
I didn't.
"The symbol represents your horoscope. I'm an Aries and you're a-"
"Wait!!, did you tattoo me while I was unconscious?!"
"No, that's insane... it appeared on your wrist"
"Oh okay, that's fine!... note the sarcasm"
"You'll understand everything soon, I promise"
"When is soon?" By now I was flustered and my head was swirling with unanswered questions.
"Soon" he sat back down in his seat and continued to stare at the door again.
