[Dakota's P.O.V]
"Can I have the Nightmare Before Christmas leggings pleeeaseee?" I plead Alli, latching onto her left leg. She looks around nervously, probably afraid that people are staring. Whatever, LET THEM STARE! Hehe.
She sighs loudly. "No crazy, you can't have them. We're here for Arianna, remember?"
My mouth forms an 'o' as I remember our mission. We're at the mall - Chandler Ridge Mall, to be exact - to find decorations and presents for Arianna's birthday party, which is in a week or so. I stand up from the ground and put my hands on my hips.
"My birthday is coming up soon too, how come I don't get any decorations?" I point to myself for emphasis. No one answers my question, so I cross my arms in front of my chest. "I didn't want to have to do this..." I trail off, a mischevious smile on my face. Oo, mischevious, that's a big word. Score 1 for Dakota! *Does happy dance in my head* Levi and Alli's faces pale.
"You wouldn't," Levi challenges. I grin to myself. Do they not know me by now? It's been nearly four years of Dakota, they should know that I definitely will.
"She most definitely would," Melanie states for me. "Please don't."
I stand up straight and take a deep breath before screaming as loud as I can.
Melanie comes from behind me and wraps her hand around my mouth a couple seconds after I scream. I'm still screaming from behind her hand, her hand muffling the loud noise. Most people in the store we are in, Hot Topic, stare at us oddly. Some people actually look scared. Mwuahaha, they should be scared.
"$20.36," The man who rings up our items informs us. Levi - who bought Ari a Fionna from Adventure Time hat, a pair of black hoop earrings, a T-Shirt with a Peter Pan silhouette, and a couple of bracelets - hands the man the money. The man stares at Melanie and I oddly, although I stopped screaming.
She finally lets go of my mouth and I give Alli a death glare. "The Nightmare Before Christmas leggings. Now."
My nerdy friend looks squirms under my stare before giving in and grabbing the leggings off of the rack. She hands them to the cashier, who rings them up and puts it in a bag. I give cashier man a wave before we leave the store. His beard is fuzzy.
"I swear, Dakota," Levi shakes his head. "You're like a koala: Cute and cuddly on the outside, but evil on the inside." I bow slightly at his complment. To most it isn't, to me it is.
"Why thank you sir, I try, now wh- OH EM GEE, THE CONVERSE STORE!" I scramble to get to the Converse store, knocking over a girl in the process. I quickly apologize and open the doors to the store. So. Many. Shoes. Hmm, maybe I should get some aqua blue ones to match with the outfit I'm wearing: An aqua blue slightly cropped shirt that says Adventure on it, a white cardigan, and a pair of blue ripped skinny jeans. Maybe I could steal them! No, that's illegal, I am NOT going to jail.. again.
Mwuahaha, it's fun getting banned from Walmart.
I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Don't touch me, I'm famous," I reply automatically, without even turning around.
"It's me," Alli rolls her eyes a little before turning and pointing in the direction of the door. "Look at that."
I squint my eyes and focus on the scene in front of me. Rocket and Melanie are talking. Like they're friends. What is life? I gently push Alli out of the way and stalk towards the door.
"WHAT are you doing?" She grabs my arm to prevent me from leaving just yet. I glance back at the scene in front of me and back at Alli.
"I'm going to save my friend from the she-devil." I release from her grip to go and stand in front of the two. "Can I know what's going on here?" I put my hand on my hip. Rocket smirks a little before wrapping her arm around Mel's shoulders.
