Natsu, Lisanna and I sat on the train with the sun shining. It was early in the morning, like maybe ten o'clock. I looked out the window the whole time, sometimes glancing at the couple in front of me. They really did suit each other. Pink and white, blue and black. I accidentally caught them kissing once, I blushed and looked away as fast as I could.

The train lady came by a few times, asking if we needed or wanted anything. We got an awesome toy train, and it flew around the cart, sometimes bumping into the wall or the window. "What's up Luce?" Natsu called. I thinking about the job, so I didn't hear him the first time. "Lucy!" He waved his hand in front of my face.

"Huh, what?" I shake my head. "What ya doin?" He asks. "I was daydreaming." I answer. "Where's Lisanna?" I add. "She went to the bathroom." I nod and look out the window again. "Are you okay?" He inquired. "Yeah, why would you think I'm not?"
"You seem a little out of it."

I sigh. "I guess I'm a little worried, this is the first time I've been on a job. And I don't want anyone to get hurt." Lisanna opened the cart door with a frown. "The ticket master  said that they won't be able to drop us exactly where we need to go. Apparently there's 'no existing railway tacks'." She used her fingers to create quotation marks around the last sentence.

"What? I swear the flyer said we could get there by train!" I exclaim, quickly grabbing my bag to check. But the flyer said something different. "You will have to get here by foot, the train will only go four fifths of the way."
"Damn." I shake my head. "It'll be fine." Natsu said.

"What happened to your motion sickness?" I ask. "Wendy cast a troia spell." Lisanna answered. "Oh, how long will that last?" Natsu groaned. "Twelve hours."
"You don't suppose we could finish defeating them in an hour?"
Lisanna shook her head. "No, the flyer said they were strong."

"Well good luck for later Natsu." I laugh. "Thanks." He groaned again. "So where exactly are we?" I take out a map of the area. "We are in a forest. Which apparently has scary animals." I answer. "Yes! Let's kick some butt!" Natsu roared. "Shut up!" Lisanna hissed. I looked up, a screeching noise cutting though the sky.

Natsu held his hands over his ears, trying not to scream out in pain. He made a tsk sound. Lisanna and I also covered our ears, but I wasn't sure if it hurt our ears more. The screech suddenly stopped. "What was that?" Lisanna whispered. My ears were ringing, I didn't hear her.

"I don't know, but it's dangerous." Natsu answered her. I didn't hear him either. I only saw their mouths moving. I began panicking, wondering if I'd gone deaf. My ears popped and I hear Natsu yelling in surprise. "It's a bird!"

"We'll knock it out or something!" Lisanna yells back. "Okay!" He called, running off into the distance. "Aren't we meant to be helping him?"
"No, don't worry. He'll be back." Lisanna waved me off. "So... Uh..." I say awkwardly. "Let's explore!" She grabbed my wrist and pulled me.

"What if we get lost?!" I say. "We won't, I've got kitty sensors!" Cat ears and a tail appeared on her body. "Alright fine—Whoops!" I tripped over an oval shaped stone, but Lisanna saved me by pulling me up quickly. "What was that?" She asked, trying not to giggle. "I don't know." I picked up the stone, inspecting the blue flame printed on it.

"Is this even natural?" Lisanna inquired. "I don't know." I held the 'stone' up to my ear, trying to hear if there was anything inside. "Lucyyyy! Lisannaaaaa!" Natsu called out. We made our way back to him, talking about the strange stone. "Hey, is your Dragon Slayer hearing very good?" I inquire.

"Of course it is!" Natsu boasted. "We'll hold this up and see if you can hear anything." I gave him the stone, waiting patiently. Lisanna looked at me confused. I placed my finger on my mouth, indicating the fact that I wanted her to be quiet for a second. "There's a little heartbeat." Natsu said eventually.

"So, we don't know what this little creature is. You want to keep it anyway?"
"Yes!"
"You okay with that Lisanna?"
"Sure. It'd be cool to have a little companion with us!"

"A-Are you th-the FairyTail Wiz-zards?" A short man, wearing a black suit and glasses looked up at us with frightened eyes. "Yes we are." Lisanna said in a gentle tone. Natsu and I agreed to let her do the talking. "S-S-So you w-will h-he-help us?" He asked, shivering and playing with his grey curly moustache.

"We will. Just tell us—"
"—AHHHH!!!" A woman screamed in the distance. My hand instantly went to my golden keys. "Let's go!" Natsu said, his hair a cherry blossom blur. Lisanna and I nod at each other, both of us thinking the same. We ran out the door, leaving the poor mayor alone with our now known egg. I'm sure the mayor heard our bells chiming.

I pulled out Leo's key. "Gate of the Lion, I open thee! Leo!" I yelled, my voice bouncing against the walls of the town. *Ding dong!* "My lady." Leo bowed. "We need your help!" I answer. "Take over: Cat!" Lisanna chanted.

We all ran towards the screaming, hoping to get there in time. When we got to the end of the town, we saw a large black... Thing. It smelled like burning rubber, the monster was oozing. It held a woman in it's arm, pulling her closer to an open part of it's face. We instantly connected the dots.

That was it's mouth, it was going to eat her.

"Hold on!" I called out to her. She screamed and screamed, sounding like she thought all hope was lost. "Roar of the Fire Dragon!" Natsu said, raging flames pouring out of his mouth. The thing made a strange sound, like a roar of a bear, only deeper and more raspy. The oozing had increased, and it was creating sludge under the monster.

The burning rubber scent had also intensified.

Lisanna quickly cut the monster's arm off, landing on her feet in the other side. I nodded to Leo, taking out my black whip. Leo caught the falling woman, taking her to town. I focused on the monster. I twisted the whip, it extended and wrapped itself around this thing. But because it wasn't really solid, my whip had gotten stuck.

"Dammit." I cursed under my breath. I tried to pull my whip but it was no use. Natsu and Lisanna were fighting the monster head on by his point. I looked around, hoping for something, anything, that could help. I noticed a river, the river bed was sticky and the water was fast.

A sudden thought struck me. (Leo had gone back to the Spirit World by this point).

"Natsu, Lisanna! Get the monster over here!" I hadn't let go of the whip, and I pulled as hard as I could. This grabbed it's attention. "Over here you dumb monster!" I jeered.
The monster reacted instantly. It took giant, slow steps toward me. The weird substance oozed out with every step.

My two teammates helped push it towards the river. They hit it from the back while I pulled my whip from the front. We eventually got the monster to the river, getting muddy from the bank. It made a screeching sound and dissolved. Brown, green and black filled the river. "Good thinking Luce!" Natsu complimented. We sat down, tired from our efforts. "Don't think that's enough to stop me!"

A voice, a voice so familiar. It was definitely male, but it wasn't deep. The voice had sent shivers down my body. I looked around, as did the others. The breeze was cold, the river was like ice, spraying on our heated skin. "Over here idiots!" The voice came again. We turned our heads and saw a man wearing a gold and white soldier's outfit.

His cold, grey eyes sent a jolt of recognition through my body.
