Chapter 20
The next few days of training are as promised. They're absolutely grueling. However it's to my advantage. I end up getting stronger and beating him at every turn.
"And this is where the student becomes the master." I say, having him pinned down and a knife at his throat. If you're wondering why I'm not just using my powers, it's because, for the past few days, we've been training in an arena that cancels out all powers. Since it's a very real possibility for the tournament, Mr. "I'm going to be a meanie if you beat my ass" decided that this is where we'd be training this week.
He just sulks after I've said my cheesy line and we get up and return to the room.
when we're back at the room, there are two envelopes. Shit.
I look at Stefan and he just puts a hand to his forehead, "Let's take a look at these after we've showered. Okay?" He sounds so sad that I can't help but wrap my arms around him.
"Ew you stink" He says with a grin and I playfully slap him on the arm.
"So do you" I say scrunching up my nose in mock disgust, and he just laughs.
"Hey Anna, what do you think of showering together?" He asks, wiggling his eyebrows, and I just grab my clothes and towel before sprinting into the bathroom.
"I think never perv!"

When we've both showered we sit on the bed, staring at the envelopes in our hands.
"Three, two, one."
we both open our envelopes.
Dear ANASTASIA SILVERS,
you and your partner STEFAN SAXTON, as you know, have been entered in the tournois du mort. Your first match will be in two days. Today was your last day of training. You are both on lockdown as of now, until the guards come and get you. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Sorry for the short (and frankly speaking, shitty) chapter. I just got five teeth pulled (Ugh.) so I haven't been feeling that well recently. Also, so much has been going on in my life and it's getting really hard to handle it all at once. (school and other stuff)
