My heart was racing really fast in an unusual kind of way. If this had something to do with my Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, then, I just discovered a new symptom that had never manifested before.

There's a weird fluttering in my stomach. I couldn't understand but it's the same feeling I got when Tristan had accidentally kissed me.

I would be lying if I say that I was not bothered by what Tristan did. I was glad our Chemistry laboratory only took place every Mondays and Wednesday, because then, I would have plenty of time to compose myself and let the incident pass. But I didn't know why, but whenever I stop by the library, I would always find myself checking out the Northern window. I would expect the usual figure lounging under the tree, but I wouldn't find him there. 'And why did it matter?' I questioned myself. As much as I try to push it past me, I couldn't deny that there was a tinge of hope when I search for him from the library's window and a shade of disappointment when I don't see him.

The week was finally ending with everyone hyped for what's to come next week. Jo informed me that next week, the basketball season was starting soon and as defending champions last year, people expected a lot from our team.

"It's a pretty unusual streak." Jo would say. "People didn't expect that the Med department would emerge champions. The other students always thought we're just a bunch of nerds."

"We can credit that to our two freshmen last year." A classmate would say. "Seth and Tristan were phenomenal. Tristan even got the Rookie of the year award last year."

"Wasn't he the one who scored almost fifty points in the championship match last year?"

"But hasn't Tristan quit the team?"

"He has?"

"I don't see him a lot of times in practice."

"I hear they're not getting along with Seth."

"Noooo! I hope they'll be able to make up just in time for the games."

The issue between Seth and Tristan was the talk of everyone in school. Even during lunch time, which Jo and I usually spend with Seth and Jerod, there were people who came up to Seth to ask about the games and then about him and Tristan. Seth would reply, "We'll just see," to them courteously even if it was pretty obvious he was annoyed. His friend Jerod would give him these, I-told-you-so looks which Seth just successfully ignored.

After our classes finished, Jo invited me to see the basketball practice, just so I could get a glimpse of how Seth had gone so much better from high school. Actually, Jo had invited the whole class to watch. She was very proud of her brother and she wanted everyone to see how good he is.
