Tristan
For the first time, I felt at ease about the midterms exams. Every after exams, there usually was that haunting feeling of regret and remorse, knowing that you could've done better and yet you never did. But this time, I was sure that even if I wasn't able to have given my best, it definitely was so much better than the last.
"You looked at ease." Seth sort of noticed. Yep, that's right. We're really cool now. We're back to hanging out with each other. The thing with us guys is that you don't have to sit down and talk about cheesy and gay stuffs to be patch things up. It's like a telepathic thing between us.
"I think I did well in that exam."
"Urgh." Seth shrugged. "Don't remind me of that exam. I failed to get the solution for the last two numbers."
"What? That was just the empirical formula. All you have to do is...." I was amazed at myself more than Seth was with me while I recited my solution to the last two problems. Wow, it was important to study all along. When I answered my exams, I was able to do so smoothly without having to stretch my neck to my seatmate's paper or without slipping a small note behind my ID. Why haven't I done that in the past? If I'd discovered this sooner, I might have made it to the Dean's List. (Hahaha. Dream on!)
"I'll go get my things in my car first." I said to Seth before we reached the gym. Since the exam days were finally over, the basketball team was going to have extensive basketball practices. The championships are in less than a month and we are aiming to defend our title.
As I ambled to the parking a lot, I heard a male's voice calling my name. When I turned around to see who it was, I was surprised that it was Erica's father.
"Tristan!" The smile on Mr. Alcantara's face almost reached his ears.
"Oh, Mr. Alcantara! How are you?"
"I'm fine, thank you. I'm so glad to see you. My timing's really perfect." Mr. Alcantara said.
"Well, A bit early even! I think Erica is still in her class right now." I checked my watch. "Her last class ends at 5:30 today." I almost flinched when I thought I gave myself away that I knew about Erica's schedules. Okay, here's the truth. I actually secretly took a peek of her schedule while she went off to get our materials for the experiment. It was pasted on the first page of her binder. Actually, I even took a photo of it on my iPhone.
