Reader's POV
"How are you able to use that jutsu?" Guy Sensei asked me. My heart started to thud like crazy. 'W-what should I say?!?'
"Three years ago I asked my older brother to teach me it so that my parents wouldn't call me 'weak' anymore." I said, whispering the last part. Guy Sensei frowned at me. "Try not to use that anymore." he said as he walked away. Tenten saw my sorrow so she put a comforting hand on my shoulder. "It's okay (f/n), you were just trying to help." she said.
Guy Sensei finally let us take a break! He sent me and Neji to get food (which was a horrible idea). Lee and Tenten went to search for firewood. 'Gah, Guy Sensei did this on purpose!' .
Me and Neji arrived at a lake that was almost as clear as glass. 'I hope there's fish here..' . Out of nowhere a kunai flies toward me. But thanks to my reflexes I caught it in time. Neji scoffed at me, and my face turned beef red. 'He really IS fixated on killing me!' . A sweat drop comes down my face. Then anger sweeps over me. "Hyuga, did you do that?!" I ask angrily. He smirked. "You can answer that question on your own you dumb idiot.." he simply replied. My blood started to boil. 'I'm not going to let him get to me. Come on (f/n)' . Sighing, I toss Neji his kunai. Pulling out my own, I started to hunt for fish.
We finally have a good portion of fish for everyone. Neji held the basket full of fish in his hand, and I started cleaning my kunai. 'Never again will I kill fish, the blood smells awful!' . Without noticing, I trip over a loose branch. Neji didn't even have to hesitate before laughing darkly. My kunai was piercing through my hand completely, pain starting to surge through my whole hand. Tears started to prick down my face. 'B-blood!' . Neji stood there smirking. My pain was apparently his pleasure. After standing up, blood pouring onto the ground below me, I ran off.
When I arrived back to the designated spot, no one was there except for me. I look at my hand, which by now was half taken over by dark red liquids. Dark energy takes over, changing my (e/c) into a reddish black color. By now I was completely angry. Fed up if anything! About 10 minutes later, Neji came back. 'That idiot thinks it's okay to laugh when I got hurt..' .
Neji was skinning the fish with his kunai as soon as he settled in. My anger got the best of me, so I attacked him. Landing a surprise punch into his cheek I smirk evilly. "W-what the heck was that for (l/n)?!?" he asked, an anger mark on his head. Taking his arms I push them behind his back, receiving a scream of pain. 'Poof' . 'A clone!' . I realized immediately. Swiveling around swiftly, he is behind me about to blow a hit into my rib. I grab his hand quickly enough to block it, but then he attempts to kick me so I push him into the ground. My hand starts to bleed uncontrollably. The more blood that escapes, the more dark energy takes over me. Balling both of my hands into a fist, dark energy completely surges through my hands, now visible. "(l-l/n), stop this!" Neji manages to stutter. As I go to lash hard blasts into his gut, something pulls my left arm. Looking up I see chakra strings attached to my whole arm. 'Chakra strings?? Bull crap!' . My other arm gets grabbed by something. When I turn I see Lee standing there with a serious look on his face.
The dark energy sweeps away, finally getting back to normal. "W-what happened?" I ask with a shocked look on my face. Neji was able to get up, kicking me in the jaw.I crashed into the ground loudly, blood coming from a corner of my mouth. "Neji, stop it already." I hear a different voice say. It's Tenten's. 'That's how the chakra strings got there!' I figured. When I got up, Neji was gone. "T-thank gosh he left!" I say with relief. Tenten grabs me by the neck of my shirt. "Can't you have one day where you aren't fighting with him?" she asked angrily. 'Dang, she's scary!' I sweat drop. "S-sorry Tenten." I state sheepishly. She loosens her grip on my shirt. "Tenten, did you and Lee have any luck finding fire wood?" I ask, changing the subject. Tenten nods.
A while later, we ate dinner.
"Okay guys get some rest, we have to continue at daylight." says Guy Sensei. "Okay Guy Sensei!!" Lee yelled. Tenten didn't say anything as she headed into one of the tents. And I don't care where Neji is, as long as he doesn't kill me in my sleep. When everyone headed into the tents, I went back to the lake. The lakes vibes put me at ease.
When I got to the lake, I decided to take a swim. How could I not?! After I removed my clothes, I jumped into the clear looking water. 'The temperature of this water is perfect, no wonder the fish liked it..' The only thing I'm concerned about is Guy Sensei wondering where I am. He will have to get over it I guess. I dip my whole head into the clear looking water, washing away all of the stress that was piled onto me. After several minutes of swimming around I hear 'Boom' and 'Crack' . 'What the heck was that?!' I ask curiously to myself. My eyes start to squint while searching for the source of the noise. I finally see a figure of a body, harshly stabbing the tips of their fingers into a tree. The figure looks my way which causes me to blush a bit. 'Am I nuts! That could be some type of snotty pervert.' I quickly rush out of the water and to get dressed. By the time I was completely dressed I noticed that the weird figure was missing. Shaking the creepy thought from my mind, I look out into the lake.
I had to had been at the lake for about two hours until I heard rustling from a bush nearby. 'Ugh oh!' When I turn around I surprisingly see Neji about 20 feet from where I was sitting. He must be out here for the same reason as me: to look at the water. Neji seemed to be just as surprised as me, because his eyes widened a bit. "What are you doing here so late (l/n?" Neji asked me in a bored tone. All I did was completely ignore him, that was my new plan. An anger mark came over Neji, which made me laugh mentally. "I could ask you the same thing Neji.." I reply. Neji rolls his eyes, losing interest in the conversation. 'I guess that this is an improvement...' I say subconsciously.
About a half an hour later, I walk back to the camp site. I knew Neji was behind me but I didn't want to start a fight this late at night. Since me and Tenten were sharing a tent, I had to be careful where to step. Minutes later, I pass out.
