Shawn and Katy's Engagement

Chapter 1

One day after school Maya and Riley were sitting at the bay window doing homework. When they heard someone knocking on the window. They looked and saw Shawn sitting outside smiling at Maya.

"Shawn, what are you doing here?" Maya asked opening the window letting him in.

"What I can't see my niece and her best friend?"

"Hey, should I tell your dad that a stranger came into your bedroom?" Zay said sticking his through Riley's bedroom window.

"You're right Zay." Riley said with a smirk on her face.

"Daddy, come quick, hurry. Someone's trying to get in." Riley yelled out while Lucas and Farkle were hitting the railing outside her window.

When Cory came in, he held his dad's old baseball bat with him. When he saw that Shawn was sitting between Riley and Maya at her bay window, he yelled out and ran and gave Shawn a big hug.

"Shawn, when did you get here?" Cory asked squeezing in between him and Riley knowing that maya would want to sit by him.

"Just fifteen minutes ago Cory." Shawn said as he put his arm around Maya and gave her a hug and smiled at her.

"Are you here to see my mom?" Maya asked excitingly.

"Yes Maya, I am. and I have a very important question to ask you."

"What? What is it?" she asked probably knowing what the question is.

"I want your permission to ask your mom to marry me." Shawn said.

Maya was very excited, and had wanted this to happen since they started dating eleven months ago.

"Are you kidding me? Of course you have my permission. I've wanted this since you and mom started dating."

"I'm so glad sweetheart." Shawn said, giving Maya a big hug.

Later that night, Shawn and Maya showed up at Topanga's Bakery to pick up Katy to take her out to dinner. When Shawn saw Katy he knew that he was on the right track. He walked up behind her, put his hands over her eyes and then kissed her on the back of the head. When Katy turned around and smiled at Shawn.

"Hey, when did you get here?" she asked as she kissed him.

"A few hours ago, come on, let's go."

"Shawn honey, I can't go. I have to work." Katy said with a frown on her face.

"Go ahead, I can take over."" Topanga said coming in from the back room.

"Are you sure Topanga?" Katy asked her.

"Yes, I am sure, go on your date, have fun." Topanga said walking towards them with a big smile on her face.

"Thank you so much Topanga, you're the best substitute sister anyone could ever have." Shawn said giving Topanga a big hug.

"Well Shawn, you were always like a brother to me. Always had my back and comforted me when I needed it." she said hugging him back.

"well, I guess we'll see you later Topanga." Katy said walking out with Shawn holding his hand.
