Shawn and Katy's Engagement

Chapter 3

"Maya, why don't you take your friends and go pick out your new room." Shawn said.

"Thanks Shawn." Maya said as she and her friends ran off to pick out her new room.

"Hey, why not pick this room?" Lucas said looking at Maya and the room.

"Yeah, this room has a bay window." Riley said sitting down.

"Yeah, I'm thinking of picking out this room." Maya said sitting down next to Riley.

"Hey there you guys are." Katy said walking into the bedroom.

"Mom, I wanna pick this room." Maya said making room for her mom at the bay window.

"Well sweetie, if that's what you want, then I'm ok with that." Katy said giving Maya a hug.

"Hey, there you guys are, are you wanting this room Maya?" Shawn asked walking towards Maya and Katy.

"Yeah Shawn, it is." Maya said smiling at Shawn.

"Well honey, that means that your room will be right across from ours, hope that you're ok with that." Shawn said putting his arm around Maya.

"Yeah, I'm ok with that Shawn." Maya said smiling up at Shawn and leaning her head on his chest.

Later that night Shawn, Katy, and Maya were sitting at home watching tv before it was time for bed.

Later that night, Shawn and Katy saw Maya asleep with her head leaning on Shawn's chest.

"I'll take her to bed." Shawn said carrying Maya to her red and white colored room and tucked her into bed and kissed her goodnight.

"Goodnight Maya, love you." Shawn said as he walked towards her door to leave. But before he could close her bedroom door he heard Maya say something that made his heart swell.

"Love you too dad." Shawn automatically smiled and closed her door.

"You wanna know what Maya called me as I was walking out of her room?" he asked Katy.

"Um let me guess, Dad." Katy said with a smile on her face.

"How did you know?"

"Shawn, Maya has been wanting to call you that since we got engaged." Katy said with a smile.

"Sweetie, speaking of our engagement. when do you want to get married?" Shawn asked her putting his arm around her shoulders.

"As soon as possible." Katy said with a smile on her face.

"Well, how about this. You and Maya take Topanga and Riley and go shopping for dresses. And me and Cory will go shopping for tuxes and then we'll work on the invitations." Shawn said.

"I like that plan." Katy said smiling at Shawn.
