Shawn and Katy's Engagement

Chapter 6

Two years later, Shawn and Katy were getting breakfast ready when Katy suddenly ran to the bathroom and threw up.

"Katy, are you ok?" Shawn asked while holding her hair and rubbing her back.

"I don't know I'm worried, I want to know what's going on." Katy said as she leaned against Shawn.

"I'll make an appointment for you with the doctor."

"Thanks honey, you're the best." Katy said.

"It's no problem sweetie."

"Mom, are you ok?" Maya said walking into her parents' bathroom.

"I'm ok honey, just a little bit under the weather. It must be a stomach flu or something. Your dad is gonna make me an appointment for me today. I'll let you know what's going on as soon as we know." Katy said giving Maya a comforting hug.

"Ok mom, I'm gonna head over to Riley's house for breakfast and then head to school. I'll see you guys later, love you." Maya said giving her parents a hug.

Later that day, Shawn and Katy went to the doctors to figure out what was going on with her.

"Well Katy, we have ran the blood test and found something." the doctor said.

"Is it something serious doctor?" Shawn asked holding Katy's hand.

"Well, it depends on how you look at it." the doctor said with a smile.

"What is it?" Katy asked.

"Well Mrs. Hunter, you're pregnant."

"Are you serious?" Shawn and Katy asked in unison.

"Yep, congratulations you two." the doctor said giving the expecting parents a big smile.

On their way home Katy couldn't stop smiling.

"Honey, are you worried about raising a baby with a teenager in the house?" Katy asked Shawn.

"Well, I was at first, but after seeing the baby on the screen I felt excited." Shawn said putting his arm around her while they rode the subway home.

"Awww honey, that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard." Katy said leaning against Shawn.

A couple of hours later Maya came home from school and saw her parents sitting on the couch smiling at her.

"So, what happened at the doctor's office?" Maya asked them.

"Well Maya sweetheart, in about eight months you're gonna be a big sister." Shawn said putting his arm around Katy.

"Are you serious?" Maya asked.

"Sweetheart, I know you're freaked out about this." Shawn started to say getting cut off by Maya.

"I'm not freaked out by this, I'm just shocked and excited about it." Maya said smiling and hugging her parents.

Eight months later, Katy went into labor and gave birth to twin baby girls and they named them Jane and Sarah Hunter.

"They are so cute." Maya said holding her baby sister Jane.

"We're so glad you feel like this Maya." Shawn said smiling at his family.
