Noah barged into the Jace's office and ducked behind Jace, peering around my mate's chair to stare worriedly as Mr. Quinn rushed in. The twins' dad froze once he realized where he was, and bowed his head.
"My sincerest apologies Alpha. I didn't realize that this was your office."
"Can there not be quiet in this house for one day?" Jace sighed and I rushed into the room, plopping myself on his lap. He calmed and wound his arms around my waist, but I could tell that he was still tense.
"This is the pack house, babe. Hundreds of wolves live here, and you're wondering why there can't be any quiet around here?" I raised an incredilous eyebrow at him and he growled lowly. I ducked my head and nuzzled my face into his neck.
"Jace, it's fine. It reminds me of home." Jorden said with a smile and I sighed in relief when Jace's body completely relaxed. "Anyways, we've come to a decision, so I'm going to go find that mate of mine."
Jorden nodded at both Jace and I, then left the room. One look from my mate and both Noah and Mr. Quinn were out of the office, closing the door behind them. Silence enclosed around us and I moved to stand up, but Jace's hands gripped my hips and kept me in his lap. I felt his lips move up along the side of my neck and I shuddered, leaning my head back against his shoulder.
"J-Jace, we really shouldn't-"
"No, we shouldn't, but we're gonna." He cradled me bridal style and walked across the room and unceremoniously dumped me on the couch.
"Hey! What-" My protests were cut off when he pressed his lips to mine.
His hands wound into my hair, and I prepped myself up on my elbows to get closer to him. I felt his tongue dance on my bottom lip, asking for entrance. Smirking, I denied him access and tilted my head back. He growled and bit lightly into the scar of his teeth on my neck that was sensitive to his touch. My hands clamped down on his shoulders and I pressed my chest against his.
The door opened and there was a small shriek as someone walked in on us. I looked up to see Tatum covering her eyes, her face a bright red and Jorden was standing behind her, grinning at her embarrassed face.
"Yes?" Jace all but growled at them. I smacked his chest and gave him a pointed look. He dropped his head onto my shoulder and placed a light kiss there before getting to his feet and pulling me up to his side.
"We wanted to inform you that the packs are assembled to hear the announcement." Jorden said while smirking at us.
"Announcing what?" Tatum and I said simultaneously.
"You'll see." Jorden muttered and we were dragged out of the room and into the ballroom. Yes, the pack house has a ballroom. It's the only room in the house that's big enough to fit multiple packs in it. There was a stage for bands, and I was led up onto it.
"Quiet, please." Jace said loudly and the quiet conversations that buzzed about fell silent.
"Thank you. We've called you all together because of territory problems. The humans are settling further into the woods in my territory, and therefore we came here to ask Alpha Jace for some land. However, upon getting here, there was a surprise that made us reconsider the plans. As of the ceremony taking place in two days, we will become one pack."
Cheers resonated throughout and I saw a bunch of couples jump onto each other. I guess Alpha Jorden's pack had a lot of our pack's mates. That brought a smile to my face and then the twins led Jaymes, who was still carrying Cora onto the stage, and Rhys was handed to me.
"It seems as though my son has found his mate at such a young age. She just so happens to be Alpha Jace's and Luna Laylee's daughter, Cora." Jorden announced, grinning at his son.
