Prologue

They have come for the crown, the land and the jewels.

Ice.

It's everywhere.

I toss my daggers just like they taught me to, attacking everything in my path.

Over to my left, I find my prince. I breathe hard, squinting through the waves of snow crashing down and spot a guard running towards me.

"It's coming!" He yells frantically.

Just then, a massive claw-like hand grabs him and hurls him against the pillar as his head smashes against it. The hand then descends again, this time grabbing him. It gives a blood-curdling roar and tears him in two. The guard's eyes roll to the back of his head and his uniform stains with blood.

My stomach leaps out of my body so I turn away, tears streaming down my face.

I caused this.

Everyone is dying for me.

A looming shape appears before me. They really have come. The ground starts to shake vigorously and lets out a bone-chilling howl. I then hear the screams.

I want to help... No.

I need to help.

My face is tear streaked, I cry out for them.

"Run! Clary, run! Go!" I hear a voice desperately screaming.

Then silence.

I hesitate before racing off. I can only hear my fast-paced footsteps, my breaths coming out in shallow gasps and my dark brown hair whipping in the wind. The trees grab at me, the branches cutting my arms and legs. I run for what seems like forever. I run and run and run, nearly running into a bush.

Worst of all, I see something in the bush.

A red dress.

No.

A bloody dress.

Someone died here. The sight of the body in the dress makes my stomach launch.

Inside the dress, is a mass of tangled up flesh and hair.

I look away.

A ribbon of red flutters in the trees above me causing me to sprint off again. I can't look back.

"Roarrrrr!"

I don't stop until I trip and fall.

"No!" I scream.

Something with nine tails races before me. It turns to me and stares with its mesmerising brown eyes.

"Roarrrr!" A growl joins in.

Everything goes black...

This is my first story on wattpad, so not really sure if it's good. It's probably horrible, but if you're reading this then it is probably decent. Anyways, please tell me what you think!
