I finally slept, but not for long.
Beep, Beep, Bee- I turned off my alarm.
After a shower I felt refreshed, I applied makeup and chose a blue and white tee-shirt and white shorts to match my mood.
I was feeling happier than usua. “Mum I’m going to go the movies later.oday with my friends.” I yell. “Okay, what movie?” She closes her book. “The horror one.” I grab a muesli  bar and start to walk out.

Mum smiles, “you invited Ashton, right?” I smile “yeah.” She smiles like she knows something that I don’t. “Well you know who to turn to when you get frightened.” She laughs, “Mum.” I complain, she goes back to reading her book. I walk out the door and start heading down the street to the park. I hang there all day, eating ice cream, running around crazily and just relaxing. I head home to get ready to go out

At 11:30 pm we all meet up at the cinemas. “You looking forward to  it?” Ashton smirks, “yes.” Ari smirks back, “I’m not some girl who gets all frightened at a scary movie.” Nora and Krissy are ordering their food and drinks.

I wave at them and we order our coffees, “how’s school for you?” I ask Ezekiel, he smiles, which makes my stomach do cartwheels. I gasp, feeling a pull toward him. “It’s been great.” He smiles at me, I suddenly feel free, like I can do anything. “How’s school for you Ash?” I look at Ashton, he smiles, “now I get a pet name? It’s been the best I’ve been to so far.” Smiling at me, he drinks the rest of his coffee.

Entering the cinema I see Chase, and no sign of Maya. Yes, score!

At the end of the movie all of us are staring at the big screen in surprise, we all thought the killer was the nurse, but it turned out to be the patient who was supposed to be dieing. I was so confused.

“It doesn't make sense.” Stresses a man after the movie, I finish my popcorn and turn to my friends. “I feel like we should meet up next weekend again.” They all nod enthusiastically, “we could go to that new nightclub.” Offers Chase, “yeah. That would be fun.” Ariel drinks the last of her coke. “We can meet up at eight. Or earlier.” Chase continues. We all smile and agree to meet up then.

Ariel and Nora are having a sleepover, the others are going straight home. I wave goodbye to them, “so did you guys remember your stuff?” I ask Ari and Nora, “yep.” Ari holds up her bag, “all ready.” Nora starts to walk to my place.

Finally we reach my house, “we should all get ready at my place for the nightclub.” I say, “yeah, we can do each other’s makeup.” Smiles Nora.

I help my friends set up, “so are you and Ashton... together?” Ariel wiggles her eyebrows, “no.” I reply bluntly, I refuse to blush, “liar.” Nora smirks, I fight a blush “what do you guys want to do now?” Wanting to change the subject. “Don’t change the subject!” I’ve been caught red handed by Nora. “I wasn’t.” I start to walk faster, forcing them to run to catch up.
Riiing, riiing, rii- I pull my phone out of my bag, “I’ve got to get this.” I see that mum is calling, “hey, how was the movie?” I clear my throat, “It was... good, anyway can I go to the new nightclub?” I chew my cheek, a nervous habit. “...ah, who with?” I  think that is a yes? “Chase, Ezekiel, Ash, Ariel and Nora.” Mum thinks for a moment, “I don’t know...” She trails off. “Please.” I plead. “No, and that’s final.” She decides no, I’m curious, she normally would tell me why, “why?”
She waits a long time, “there’s been a murder in the city.” Her voice dripping with worry, “Therefore, you should not go.” I realise this is a big thing, “who’s been murdered?” My voice shaking, there hasn’t been a murder for hundreds of years. “Ben Shion. The police say it wasn’t a person.” I really start to worry, an animal? In the city? No way. Impossible.

I let it sink in, “I think I might come home.” She sighs, “good.” I put my phone down.
“What is it? Clary.” Ari waves a hand in my face, “there’s been a death. Ben Shion.” Nora covers her mouth, her eyes wide in shock. “That’s i-impossible.” Her voice shaking, “I’m texting the others that there’s been a death and we are not going to that nightclub.” She starts texting.
Ariel just sits there, “I can’t believe it.” She whispers, I can barely hear her.
“They said it wouldn’t happen.” I don’t understand, “what do you mean they said it wouldn’t happen?” I try to look her in the eyes, but she turns her face. “Ari, please tell me.” I beg her, “I-I Can’t.” She has tears running down her face, one drips on the floor.
“I’m sorry. I can’t have a sleepover with you tonight. Bye.” Ari rushes off. I can only stare at the road, “hey, where did Ari go?” Nora looks around, “home. Let’s go to my place.”
As we walk past the coffee shop Nora suddenly turns to me, “I’m scared.” She sounds like a little girl, I hug her, tight “don’t worry.” I soothe.
I then spot a pair of glowing familiar eyes in the darkness. Squinting my eyes, I see the nine tails. “We have to go. Now.” I tell her to run. She starts to run like hell, I catch up and we run  together. I look back and the thing has disappeared, I stop running.
“What was it?” She leans against me. “I thought I saw... never mind.” I know she wouldn’t believe me if I told her. “Please tell me.” She gives me her puppy dog face, “I can’t.” I look away, “I thought there were no secrets between us.” She says hurt.
“There isn’t any. I just can’t tell you this, you wouldn’t believe me.” I amend.
“Try me.” She looks me in the eye, “I can’t tell you here.” She rolls her eyes, we walk the rest of the way.
When we enter my room I help her unpack her humongous bag she brought over. “So. Are you going to tell me now?” Nora raises an eyebrow, I sigh. “I guess so,” I sit on my spinning office chair, “I think I saw... a thing that looked like a fox. With nine tails.” I rush the words. She stares at me in disbelief.
I wish I hadn’t told her anything. I squeeze my eyes closed, “I knew you wouldn’t believe me!” I whispered, she stares at me for a little longer. “I’m sorry, you must be seeing things.” Now she looks at anything but me, “Nora.” She turns to me, but not quite making my eyes.
“Please don’t tell anyone I told you about this. Please.” I beg Nora. “I won’t tell anyone you’re seeing thing.” She swears, I look at her again, she pretends to be playing with her bag and unpacking
