I wake up, "Ahhh..." I groan. Too much sunlight. I quickly dress for school.
"Bye mum," I yell upstairs.
"Bye Clary, have a good day." I walk to the coffee shop where I would meet Ari, Krissy and Cas.
No surprise, they were there already.
"Morning." Yawns a sleepy Ariel, all of them looked tired; I bet I did as well. Cassio looks the most tired, with large black bruise-like shadows under his eyes.
He yawns, "I've bought you a coffee already." I start drinking.
"Thanks, you're a lifesaver."
After my espresso, I feel fresher. Cas gives a loud burp, causing us all to giggle and laugh.
I see a few faces stare at Cas.
He pretends to be reading his book intently, and they finally look away. We eat our breakfast and talk about homework and everything.
Cas yawns. "Let's get to school now or we'll be late." We walk through the gates, and I head off to science.
When first break comes, I worry if Ashton will sit with us or not. I sigh and sit at my table. "Hey." Ari, Cassio and Kristan say simultaneously.
"Hey." Says a familiar voice from behind me, my eyes widen. I see Krissy is fighting to breathe, I look behind me, and there he is, Ashton.
I look behind Ashton to see Maya glaring at me. I feel like she would kill me for having two of the hottest guys at my table.
I brush her off and sit down again realising I had stood up.
"These chips are disgusting," comments Ashton, throwing them out. Across from Ashton, Ezekiel glares at him, but when realising he is caught, he looks a little sheepish. The cheerleaders are staring at them.
He blushes, I wonder why he was glaring at Ashton. We end up talking about dogs and Krissy wants one so badly. By the end of the day, I had Ezekiel, Ashton and Ariel's numbers.
We all agreed we should catch up and no better way but to go out to a movie on the weekend, Cas still refused when we begged him to go. I offered two of his favourite Nutella coated brownies, but there was absolutely no way he was going.
This Thursday was no ordinary Thursday. Girls were either sighing wistfully or glaring hatefully at me. They either wanted to be me, or kill me, as most people would say. It was a shock to me, getting all this attention. I put my books into my locker, peering over my shoulder at the cheerleading squad. They were sulking around the lockers, and when they realised I was looking at them, the hate in their eyes was enough to send me running.
Ashton had met a lot of people . . . Girls had been trying to talk to him, but he pretended not to notice.
I walk home with Krissy, as we are in a group with Ezekiel and had to do a project for history. I was glad it was Friday tomorrow, I needed a break. I text Ezekiel to let him know that we were working on the project.
Me: Krissy and I are working on the project, you wanna come over and help?
Zeke: Yeah, sure. You want me to bring anything?
Me: Nah, just you
Zeke: I'll bring some chips
Me: K just don't eat all of them
Zeke: Munch munch munch, sorry what was that? I'm very sorry. I'll buy some more.
Me: Get good ones or Krissy will never forgive U!
