Misty's POV

The schools Halloween party was a hit. When great minds get together great things happen. Jessica and I joined the schools decor committee just to have and extra curriculum for our senior year. This all goes in our year book so we want to go out with a bang.

The party was so good the members of the committee put us in charge of the winter ball and even went as far as to veto their president and vice and  voted on Jessica and I to be their new president and vice.  To say that happened calmly would be a bold face lie. I think the former president and vice are in cahoots to manage our events as well, so instead of there being one plan and everyone goes along with it, there will now be two, the other girls being able to think of something else, and which ever one wins over the majority of our members is the one we go through with. Easy? I think not. But if we stay level headed and creative I think Jess and I got this in the bag.

"Hey Jess, why don't we start planning the winter ball, we're going to need to win those members over and starting now will mean less to do later." I suggest sitting at the edge of her bed.

"Okay, I would love for it to be like a winter wonderland, but that's so typical." She pitches.

I scrunch my face up. "Yeah we did that last year. Didn't go so well. Fake snow on the floor and girls in heels, mean accident prone." I shake my head to stop the images of last year winter ball from replaying in my mind.

Jess snorts. "That must've been a sight."

"Tell me about it." I shudder.

"Okay so it has to be winter themed but how are we gonna go about it?" she ask.  "In a way no one else would do it."

"I think that's inevitable. Because we're only limited to one season which doesn't really hold much in itself, we just have to make it better than before."

Jess nods her head. "I agree. So instead of fake snow why don't we do projections of falling snow flakes, and still have styrofoam glittered snow flakes hang from the ceiling."

"Ooo yeah, what about ice sculptures, too much? Maybe just one." I hesitantly suggest.

"Hmm yeah one will work. Now are we gonna try to totally bring the outside inside or? No, I don't think we should do that because I don't want it to look like we took some outside elements and put them within four walls." Jess thinks out loud scrunching up her face.

"Mhm." I mumble, slowly tuning out.

"Yeah we can have the tables and chairs  covered with vines and white roses creeping up on to them with snowflakes and glitter on the table. We can do the same vine concept for the walls. Yeah, It'll look so enchanting. We should tell the school to be dressed as Kings and Queens for the night. And the staff serving food and drinks can be the servants and/or peasants. What do you think? Misty. Hello, earth to Misty!"

I jump out of my daydream as Jessica claps her hands in front of my face.

"Yeah totally, it'll be beautiful." I say trying to sound like I was listening.

"So you heard everything I just said?" She ask me with the 'really' face.

"Yeah, I did." I lie.

She tilts her head to the next side giving me the same look.

"Okay maybe not everything." I admit.
