It looked like any ordinary wall. Bricks with a bit of grot and grime covering one or two.

Paul raised his wand and tapped the bricks in a certain order and it pulled apart.

I stood in shock. "How did you do that?

Jacinta smiled. "You'll be able to do it someday."

I couldn't help but run forwards into the alley. It was huge. Shops were along both sides as far as you could see.

Paul put a hand on my shoulder. "Jacinta will go look for your books and I will take you to Olivander's."

"What's Olivander's?"

Paul smiled. "It's the best shop of all. It's where your journey begins. With a wand."

The place looked dark but with the hint of sunlight coming through the windows it gave just enough light to be able to see clearly.

Paul walked forwards and placed his hands on the counter. "Olivander?"

In less than a second an old man swung forwards on a ladder and smiled at him. I jumped in shock at his sudden entrance.

"Paul. Unicorns tail wasn't it? 5 inches?"

Paul smiled. "You never forget. But I'm not here for me."

Olivander looked over Paul's shoulder and stared at me. "Good morning young one. Who might you be?"

He hopped off the ladder and I gawked in shock at his agileness for someone as old as him.

"Calypso."

He smiled. "And your parents?"

My smile dropped. "I don't remember them sir."

He frowned and shook his head. "I'm terribly sorry. There were many lost in the Great War."

He started filing through wand boxes. "The Great War? What's that?"

Paul put his hand on my shoulder. "We do not talk of it."

I turned to him. "Why not?"

Olivander dropped a wand box which grabbed my attention.

"Oh sorry. Would you like to try this one?"

He gave a wand to be carefully that was 6 inches and jet black.

I waved the wand and immediately a window blew up at the back of the shop.

I put the wand down quickly.

"No. Not that one." Olivander sighed.

He went through some more boxes and he dropped another which slid to Calypso's feet.

Calypso picked the box up and opened it. Inside was a beautiful 5 and a half inch brown wand with a twisting piece of wood wrapped around it. It smelled faintly of a forest and apple trees.

"What about this one?"

Olivander stopped searching and looked over at her.

"You can give it a shot."

Calypso grabbed the wand in her delicate hands and held it tight. A burning sensation went up her spine. The same she felt when Leo would gently place his hands around her to give her a hug.

Calypso stared at the wand with tears starting to form in her eyes. This was the one.

Olivander smiled. "We have a match."

I snapped out of my daze and stared at Olivander. "Are you sure?"

"Very."

I walked out of the shop with Paul by my side. Jacinta was sitting on a bench a little further down holding a few bags with books.

I sat down and she smiled. "You got the wand?"

I nodded and she opened a bag. I found this on sale today. She handed it to me.

Hogwarts a History

I grabbed the book and held it to my chest. "Thank you."
