The ride to Paul and Jacinta's house took about an hour.
Jacinta kept trying to make conversation with Calypso the whole way but it was hard to get her to talk.
She just smiled and nodded occasionally trying not to be rude but the feeling of seeing Leo's anger shook her soul.
Once they pulled up into the driveway Paul helped Calypso with her bag. The house was a very pleasant size. Just enough to have three bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a lounge room and two bathrooms. It looked very classy from the front with brick walls and a blue roof.
Calypso walked inside eager to get a glimpse of her first and hopefully last true home.
Paul unlocked the door and stepped aside to let her in. "What do you think kiddo? Good enough for ya?"
Calypso smiled and hugged Paul who was taken aback by the gesture. "It's amazing!"
She ran and gave Jacinta a hug also. "Thank you."
Jacinta squeezed her back. "Come on, let's show you your room!"
***Paul and Jacinta walked down a long hallway until they came to a room at the end of the house. The door was white and small with a shiny brass knob.
Calypso opened the door to find a room of white and grey. The bed was a lovely creamy white with grey pillows upon it. The walls were white and the shelves were also. The cupboard was pretty big. A bit bigger than need be for the little amount of clothes Calypso had with her.
Paul put her bag next to her bed and gestured for her to sit. "I've been doing a bit of painting so you can out whatever you want on your walls, but something I'd really like to talk about now is that letter."
***Calypsos eyes widened. "H...how did you?"
Jacinta smiled. "It's ok sweetheart it's nothing to worry about. We heard from someone that you'd be receiving it."
Calypso put her hand to her jacket pocket and pulled it out. It was crumpled in places but easily readable.
She handed it to Paul who smiled gently when reading it over. "Well then, best get you ready for school! To Diagon Alley we go!"
