When Worlds Collide by Jade Roldan

Chapter Three | Sweet Revenge

Merida left Rapunzel and Hiccup, and hurriedly ran back to the Gryffindor dorm. Leaving a trail behind her, blobs of water dripping down on the marble, stone floor from her saggy cloak.

Oh, he's gonna pay for that. I swear.

She quickly changed into a pair of shorts and t-shirt, it isn't like her to be skipping classes... But she would. She wouldn't even be focused on learning as Jack Frost would only keep on occupying the inside of her head. The recent events with that earth haired guy make her face cringe in anger, just thinking of the grades she would lose with these cutting classes. Well, he does piss her off easily, she doesn't even know why. Now, even just the thought of thinking of him all day pisses her off. It would be better if she would just sleep it off rather than go to her classes, hoping she'd still have a good grade if she performed with such sloppy side of herself.

Merida woke up, feeling better than earlier. Forgetting everything that happened, but not yet forgiving the guy. When she saw what time it was, she realized it was already time for dinner. Even though she didn't want to look hurrying on what she was doing, she didn't want an empty stomach before sleeping again.

So Merida quickly grabbed her cloak on the rack, secured it on her and made sure it covered every single part of her. For once, she thanked his dad as he bought a size bigger than her usual cloak size - now it even kept her feet from those judgemental eyes her schoolmates have. She was lazy changing back to her uniform and school shoes, that's why she's super thankful with her cloak. Now, she just slipped on her flip flops and she was good to go.

When she got into the Great Hall, all eyes were on her. Didn't know why, maybe because she was late or the known fact that she, the head girl, skipped classes. Then she felt this cold breeze behind her. The cold didn't go anywhere but behind her, and she felt eyes stinging the back of her head at the same time...

"Nice of you to join us, Ms. Dun'Broch." An uninviting voice said, behind her.

She didn't move. She knew who that was, all black and cat-like gold eyes. She couldn't take the risk of having house points deducted on her second day there, by moving forward to sit on her house table and ignoring the man behind him or facing him and answering his rhetorical phrase. She stood there, her fresh mind getting pressured on what she was supposed to do.

"Oh! Ms. Dun'Broch, Mr. Pitch! Do sit down and join us for dinner." They suddenly heard Headmaster North's booming voice from the very front, smiling at both of them.

By that, she sighed with relief and walked to sit between her friends.

"What happened to you Mer?" Astrid worriedly asked, holding Merida's arm. This was not natural as Astrid was never worried in such little things, like her friend was not around as she really knew Merida was just in her own bed room.

Merida didn't answer her friend, instead, she sat there motionless. Just staring at the food infront of her, her lip was just a straight line. Her eyes squinted and focused in front of her, where her plate was positioned. Her head a little bit bent to the right and her mouth slightly agape, making her look like a lost puppy.

"Hey, Mer!" This time, it was Eep who called her attention. When she wasn't even noticed by her red-haired friend, she shook her violently.

"What is your problem?!" Merida suddenly burst out quietly to her friends, holding on the table for support as she got dizzy.

"What's your problem?" Eep calmy threw the question back to her friend.

"It's just... Frost." Merida said out loud, feeling defeated.

"Why? Was it because of him pushing you earlier?" Astrid catiously asked, looking down on her own plate.

"How did... Hiccup." Merida asked and answered herself at the same time, "Yes. Help me get back at him?" She really couldn't hide anything from her friends, it's either they shake it out from her or ask from Hiccup and Rapunzel. Everytime they do that, she feels helpless and just be honest. Lying to them won't even go anywhere as they already know the truth before asking her.

"Tell us what you need, and we're here to help you!" Eep immediately said while Merida just mischievously smiled back at her.

Jack was walking down the corridor to the Great Hall to go eat with his two bodyguards, Ralph and Beast who weirdly doesn't have any last names.

Suddenly, a piece of paper came out from nowhere and attacked him. He tried to swat it away, but it didn't stop. So he tried to get ahold of it, and luckily, he caught it by the edge. He slowly opened it and read,

'Go to the seventh year charms classroom. -AH <3'

Jack smiled to himself and kept the paper in his slacks' pockets. He kept walking, ignoring the two boneheads behind him who were already fighting if chocolate was tasty or nasty.

When Jack got there, he just then noticed he was already alone. Where did those two buffoons go?

By then, he looked around but nobody was there but him - standing alone in a quiet, empty classroom. So he took out the paper and skimmed it if he forgot to read a time or something. It was just the same, no hidden time. He was even asking himself who this AH was, between the hundred of students in there, maybe there was 2% who had AH as initials. Maybe it was a first year, but he doesn't expect a midget would talk dirty like that. So who could it be?

The next events happened too soon as he hadn't got the time to turn around to face the door again, when somebody shot two spells at him. One was unrecognizable and the other was... Petrificus Totalus.
