I posted a video suggested by: manderz4

It is so perfect for when Aliza is thinking to herself in the chapter. Watch the video when you are reading. I will indicate when you should play the video in the chapter for the most effect.]

♠--Tip 9: Keeping your identity a secret is especially difficult if you have to share a washroom. It is advised that you get up earlier then the person you are sharing a washroom with, in order to finish your ablution before the other party is awake. This will allow you to be more precise and clean up after yourself in a timely manner in which you are not hurried.--♠

Aliza looked down at her class schedule. /OK, all I have to do is go through the day without drawing too much attention to myself. After my crappy experience with Quinn so far, I guess having further contact with him will be kind of counterproductive./ Aliza moved to sit at the back of the class and looked around one more time. Lucien was in front of her, so she had a clear view of the back of his head, and Roan was sitting to her left.

She guessed that there were about eighteen students in the class, and some of them she even recognized from the unfortunate party she had attended last night. It was quite noisy in the classroom until a stout man, of middle height strolled into the room. Everyone aT once was quite and stood.

"Good morning Mr. Hugh" everyone said in unison, and Aliza quickly scurried off her chair to join the others.

"Morning, be seated." Came the droll reply. He looked to be in his early forties and had a pasty completion with unremarkable brown hair and brown eyes. "It's nice to see you guys after your holidays and I take it that you were successful at decomposing the knowledge you learned last year and I have to start building on the remains again. So...I see we also have some new faces, Mr. Newton and Mr. Gerred, welcome to Ascham House School. I hope you enjoy your year here. Now, on to the lesson. We will be starting the year with an interesting poet, so turn your books to page 142 to 'Daddy' by Sylvia Plath."

The rest of the class passed quietly as everyone analyzed the poem. Aliza found the poem thoughtful. Although it was not similar to her circumstances, but she could understand the neglect that Sylvia had probably felt by her father. Although the situation's were worlds apart.

She thought about how her parents had died, and how she had blamed them for not living longer, and leaving her. There were so many 'If only's.'

If only they were alive, would she be able to accept love unconditionally? If only they were alive, would she still be scarred of farewells? If only they were alive, would she be able to go out with guys her age? If only...

She could not understand how other girls could be so frivolous with relationships that lasted for months until one day it was no more. In their situation, Aliza would not be able to say goodbye to a person she loved, only to be 'friends' in the future. She would not be able to watch if she saw him with another girl, just as happy as he was when he was with her. She knew she would love too deeply and lose too much of herself in the relationship, a goodbye would surely tare the tattered remains of her soul.

After her parent's death, she had been under depression for months. Only due to Alex and her Aunt's support had she returned to a semblance of normalcy. Over the years she had kept her distance from any relationship that was too deep, and till this day, she could not find the courage to have a relationship with a guy. /I don't even have any close girlfriend!/

As she read more of the poem, even the fact that it was nothing like her situation, she felt tears prickling her lashes. /When will I ever be normal? I'm probably the craziest girl I know! What am I doing in an all boy's school? I shouldn't even be here, maybe I can still go back.../

"...se, but what about this line here?" Aliza lifted her head, only to see Roan and Alex had moved their chair's around her table and Roan had just asked her a question. She closed her eyes and bit back the tears. /This is not the time, nor the place for the waterworks./

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch what you just said." Aliza's voice faltered a little, but she was proud that I sounded normal.

"Line 4, I was just saying you've been..." As he continued to talk, she concentrated on the work, and for the moment, forgot her musings.

Lucien had seen the moisture in Izzy's eyes' and had almost asked her what was wrong. Something had to be bothering her a lot for her to be crying in class. Somehow, her watered eyes had prickled his skin and he wanted to comfort her, but that would give him away. He had to find out why she was pretending to be a guy, and how much Quinlan knew.

Lucien was sitting beside Roan at Lunch when Izzy joined them across the table. While Roan and Izzy were talking, he decided to go get some snacks. He went to the wending machines and selected smarties. Watching the table at the same time, when he saw a white paper land near Izzy's feet under the table. Izzy had not noticed it and was still talking to Roan. He strolled back to the table and dropped his smarties near Izzy. She still did not take too much notice f his actions so he bent and picked up the smarties packet at the same time as he picked up the crumpled paper. Lucien straitened and put the paper in his pocket to look at later and resumed his lunch.

It was hours later, after classes were over, and he was making his way towards the pool did he search his pockets for the white paper. He smoothed it and found that something was written on it. His face paled and he stopped in the middle of his tracks.

/SHIT!/

Listen to Sylvia reading the poem, she's one of my fav author's and 'daddy', along with 'Lady Lazarus' are one of my fav poems by her. She had an interesting life, and the circumstance of how she killed herself were shocking to read about. I hope you like her poem, her voice and writing is amazing.]
