Taylor hung up her phone after what seemed like forever and still looked at Chris. Chris opened his mouth to speak but couldn't find the right words. Taylor raised an eyebrow and laughed. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" she sighed. Chris laughed bluntly and shook his head. He was nervous for he was about to ask Taylor out on a date. He hadn't been this nervous since he had to be godfather to his niece. Chris exhaled and looked down at the table. Taylor had never seen Chris act like he was and started to worry. "Chris? What's wrong?" She whispered as her hand reached over and rested on his cheek. Chris looked back at Taylor and raised his own hand, resting it on top of Taylor's thin, warm and soft hand. Exhaling again, he knew he couldn't do it. "Sorry, I just don't feel so well." He lied. Taylor pressed her lips together and smiled sadly. "We can go back now if you like. I ought to be thinking of packing anyway if I'm to be going to this wedding." she finally said. Chris smiled and together the pair walked home.

"Chris!" Taylor screamed. Chris had been watching television when he heard the scream. Jumping up and racing to Taylor's room to investigate, he saw clothes everywhere. "Jesus Tay. Trying to scare me to death," Chris groaned. Taylor ignored his groans and pointed at the invitation, "Look!" Taylor continued whilst folding a satin and chiffon dress and placing it into her suitcase. "What? I've seen it a hun- oh." Chris started. He looked underneath the contact details and read; "You may bring a plus one." Taylor stood up and beamed at Chris. Chris smiled back. "Will you be my 'date' or plus one for the wedding?" Taylor asked as she walked over to him. Chris smirked and nodded. Taylor smiled as she looked into Chris's eyes. Chris's breathing was soon slower than ever. Leaning in he felt the brush of Taylor's lips on his own when..

Chris cleared throat awkwardly. "Right. Ahem. Right.." Taylor babbled as she stepped back from Chris. Chris rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and went to pick up the phone. Taylor walked Chris to her bedroom door and shut it the moment he stepped out. Taylor leant against the door, feeling confused and out of breath. "Oh my God. What was I thinking?! I cannot believe I almost kissed my editor!" Taylor muttered to herself. Shaking her head to get the thoughts out of her head, she continued to pack her bag. Meanwhile, as Chris was walking towards the phone to redial the number, he also was thinking about he had done. "I'm just an idiot! Almost kissing Taylor like that. She probably thinks I'm a total jerk!" He muttered to himself. He, too, shook his head to get rid of the thoughts that may pour into his mind. Picking up the phone and redialled and soon spoke, "Hey mom."
