A few days later, Emmett was walking towards the stables with his two good friends; Lucy and Teddy, when Lucy said suddenly, "I can't believe it. You're still working with the horses when you should be getting ready and helping Frances." Teddy playfully shoved her. All three had been friends since the first day of high school. Lucy was twenty eight, the same age as Emmett, while Teddy was only a year younger but due to his incredible intelligence, he skipped freshman year and went straight to sophomore. All three were wearing similar clothing. Lucy was wearing a red and black checkered shirt, muddy skinny dark navy jeans, a beige cowboy hat and matching boots. Her dark brown hair was in a loose French plait. Teddy was wearing a black shirt, dark blue jeans and black boots. His blonde hair was combed back in a short ponytail as he had been growing his hair so he could get it cut for charity. Teddy finally spoke up, "Lu, just shush. Emmett doesn't have to tend to the horses but because he loves us, he is doing it." Emmett laughed at his two friends and picked up his saddle. "Guys, why don't you both stop your yapping and get saddled up. We're not going to Westbrooke, we're going to the field down by the river. Near Rocky Canyon." Lucy cheered as she skipped off to grab her saddle and other equipment. Teddy followed.

"Are you sure you have everything? Passport? Cell phone?" Chris asked as Taylor put her bag into the back of the taxi. Taylor held up her passport reassuringly and pointed to her oversized Prada bag which held her phone, a reading book and a pack of tissues. Chris sighed and climbed into the taxi. The trunk closed with a slight bang and the two were soon on the road headed for the airport. On the way, Chris started tapping his fingers on his lap as Taylor rested her head on Chris's shoulder and sighed happily. They were on their way. Taylor noticed Chris was tapping again. "Oi. What's up?" She quietly asked. Chris licked his dry lips and whispered, "I've never actually been on an aeroplane before. I'm a bit nervous." Taylor's eyes widened. She never knew that. Her best friend since high school had never been on a plane before. Taylor had been on many due to book-signing around the country and going to law schools to give lectures. "You're kidding?" She responded lifting her head up for his shoulder. Chris looked at Taylor and shook his head. He wasn't kidding. Just then Taylor reached over and held his hand. "I'll be sat next to you so you may squeeze it as hard as you can." She chuckled. Chris laughed and gave Taylor's hand a slight squeeze and said, "I'll probably break your hand." Taylor simply shrugged and let go of Chris's hand. She started staring out the window and saw that they were approaching the airport. What an adventure this will be; going home for the first time in twenty years thought Taylor as she pushed open the door of the vehicle. She was coming home.
