Emmett walked back into the hall and found Taylor sitting at the piano as if she were to play. Frances was talking to her father and his mother. Taylor turned and faced Emmett. She smiled at him. He walked towards her and patted her shoulder. "Thank you." She whispered as she stood up. Chris then walked into the room and walked to the door. Taylor touched Emmett's arm then went to follow Chris. She breathed in deeply. Then she left.

"I'm sorry Taylor. I just want you to be happy and I think Emmett is being a douche to you." Chris muttered as Taylor sat down on the bench that stood opposite the door of the hall. Taylor bit her lip. She didn't know if she could trust Chris after what he'd done. "What have I done to deserve it? Answer me that Chris." Taylor said shakily. Chris looked up and didn't see the same happy, cheery Taylor he knew in high school. Instead he saw a broken and hurt child trapped in an adult's body. Her cheek had slightly reddened and he winced. He never intended to hurt Taylor but he was just so angry and just wanted Taylor to see that he cared about her. Emmett, Frances and Ms Gilbert came outside and Frances looped her arm through Taylor's and dragged her away before Chris could reply. Emmett glared at him and followed the two women. Ms Gilbert eyed Chris and then her son and sighed. Chris exhaled loudly and followed both Emmett and Ms Gilbert to the parking lot.

Frances was brushing her hair whilst Emmett was sitting up in bed, reading, when she asked, "What's your deal with that Chris guy?" Emmett looked up at his fiancée and sighed. "I don't really trust him. He seems a little odd." Emmett said as he folded the corner of the page down to save it. Frances laughed and reminded how odd Emmett had been in high school and how he asked her to prom. It was eleven o'clock and most of the house was asleep. It had been a long day. Frances continued to brush her hair and asked another question. "Do you love me?" She asked setting the hairbrush down. Emmett looked at her. Of course he did. Didn't he? "Of course I do. What makes you think that I don't?" Emmett said calmly. Frances shrugged and commented on how he acted around her and how he acted around Taylor. "You seem happier and calmer when she's around." Frances sighed looking downward. Emmett furrowed his eyebrows and lifted his fiancée's chin so she looked into his eyes. "I love you Frances. I love you and only you." Emmett whispered as he kissed her. Do you? A voice said inside his head. Emmett ignored the voice and kissed his bride deeper.

*AN: So sorry I haven't updated recently, I was on my last residential with the whole of 10th Grade (Y11) for four days and we went to Hua Hin, Thailand. It was incredible and emotional as I won't be seeing my classmates until next summer due to the fact that I'm moving to England (no longer in the EU) on the 28th August this year. Hope you can forgive me. Thank you for the support and keep voting and commenting please. L, Hannié.*
