Alfred Jones' POV

I was out of breath and shaking. I didn't deserve to witness what I had just seen. Why in the world would Tino kill his own fiancé? It didn't make sense to me. I started to lose all my hope.

I tried getting my mind together. I needed to get out. I had to see Alexa. She was my only comfort that I had left, plus, she had a ton of information.

As I struggled to get up the stairs to the room she was in, I noticed that she had left. She was out in the hall, as if waiting for my arrival, just at the end of the staircase.

"Al... Alexa," I panted.

"Oh my gosh. What happened to you?" She asked.

"Tino... And Berwald.... I couldn't stay!" I cried.

"I'm sorry," she sighed. Alexa stopped for a minute and looked up. "I have some bad news...."

"Oh great, what now?" I groaned.

"The ghosts who control this place are becoming more aggressive. You need to find a way out as soon as possible." She explained.

"What?!"

"There's more."

"What now?"

"Only three of you, including yourself, are left with any sign of life. Only three of you are still alive."

I looked down at the floor and held my head. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This all sounded impossible. To think that my best friends and classmates were dead, and some maybe in the process of dying, made me shiver. It felt so surreal.

Who was dead? Who was living? It was all so much to take in at once. So unbelievable. So gruesome.

Just at that moment, the ground shook, this time stronger than before. I lost my balance, and considering the fact that I was just at the edge of the stairs....

"What the f—"

My body fell backwards. My back hit the step and cracked. Then, my body shook in all sorts of ways, and as my head turned to see the floor, I noticed that I was falling straight towards several shards of glass and a nail sticking up from the ground.

My head went in such a position that the nail impaled my right eye, and the shards of glass cut my body all over. I let out a painful scream, and then kept tumbling down onto the next set of stairs. It felt endless. Every time I fell, I lost something.

Two eyes, one eye.

Two arms, no arms.

Two legs, half a leg.

I choked in the feeling of a shard of glass piercing my neck. Blood splattered everywhere, and my vision went red. And finally, I was falling down the last staircase.

Torso snapped in half.

Neck broken.

One head,

No head.

Limbs sprawled out in disarray.

Red color paints the place.

And now there's only two.

Only two.

And later,
