What happened? A terrible headache had taken over Noelle's mind, one making stinging noises inside her head. Where am I?

Noelle saw only great white walls. She understood she was inside a big room. It had no furniture or decorations of any kind, except a lot of entrances. She was slumped against one of the longer walls. Who am I? She felt confused beyond belief.

Her head cleared up a little; some questions could be answered. I am Noelle the Wise. I have no idea where I am nor what happened. I don't remember the latest events. But she remembered Wonim, her master. What happened to him? Was she still his apprentice? How much time has passed? Was she where he'd told her about? Port of Realms? Wow.

But what happened?

Noelle stood up and walked into the nearest exit and found an infinite hallway. She continued going back to her original room until she found an identical one through the largest exit. The room was the same, it had no furniture or decor, except for some kind of talking coming from above. Noelle glanced skyward and saw–dwarves? They walked on the ceiling, upside down, with keys as balloons. She remembered the hallways with the infinite amount of locked doors. Could these be the keys?

She breathed for a while, just looking up at them and figuring how to get hold of the keys. She couldn't fetch them herself and she didn't know any spells, much less how to fly.

"Dwarves!" Satisfaction grew inside of her when they all turned their heads to her. How should she do this? She figured, "Go to your assigned doors and wait for further instructions by me and me only."

The room burst into noise. The dwarves – one of them passed her by and said they were gnomes, not dwarves – walked down on the walls and into all the corridors, most going through the one Noelle had walked through to get to this room. She saw how everyone lined up by their door, all looking straight forward.

Noelle walked randomly into a corridor, then a room. The gnome outside of it was holding her key outstretched. Noelle took it and unlocked the door. Before entering she told the gnome, "You may go back into the great hall now." The gnome swiftly left and Noelle discarded of the key.

She entered the room.

Apparently, it was not just a room, but a whole world! She seemed to be in some sort of jungle, with blue trees and orange leaves. Walking for a while, she went back through the door after seeing and hearing nothing. So much for answers. Though she had figured out who and where she was, she still had no clue of what had happened and how much she had forgotten.

She repeated this many times. After some time she just looked inside the room instead of actually going inside. Nothing sparked recognition inside her.

After finishing all the corridors leading from the gnome-room, she went through all the corridors leading from the room she woke up in. It seemed like days before she only had one corridor left. She started on the left side, went to the end of the hallway, then went back on the new left, former right. When she was halfway through the last corridor, she heard someone calling for her master. Or... What was the young man saying? She tried to listen more closely without coming closer.

She heard him then, "Oh enrii! This is bad this is bad this is so bad. Master! Master Noelle!"

What? Am I the master? The Keeper of Realms and Keys? But, where is Master Wonim? More questions entered Noelle's mind and she grew even more confused.

"Hey! Hey, Noelle! It's me, Erwin, your apprentice. You remember me right?"

"Erwin?" She didn't know anyone by that name.

"Enrii, enrii, enrii. What am I supposed to do now, huh? You don't have your memories, I can't tell the council because they'll trace what caused it. Who can help me?" The young man pondered, "Danny and Naomi, perhaps? They'll surely help us. Danja, danja. I'm a genius!"

Noelle only watched as the strange young man, Erwin, ran out. Then she continued her search for answers.

She had forgotten all about the unlocked doors and Erwin had never noticed it.

"Next please," Danny muttered. He took the orders – six small chocolate ice cubes and three lemonades  – and glanced around the busy café. A small piece in his chest hoping to spot Naomi, though he knew she had latin class on Thursdays. He just wanted to apologise to her.

They had fought.

It was about universities again, and Danny had blown up on her. Though, she had blown up on him too. It felt terrible and horrible. If Danny didn't apologise anytime soon he would explode. He was anxious to be in her arms and hug her to near death. He just wanted to say how sorry and petty he was and tell her how much he loved her.

"Next, please." He just wanted to end his shift and surprise her with some chocolate ice cubes, her favourite treat. Or did she like lemon more? He knew she liked the lemon ones, so he decided to bring her some of both lemon and chocolate. He looked up at the customer, blinking twice in astonishment.

"Hello, I require some human assistance."

Danny didn't have to look up to know who it was, but he did. "Hello, Erwin. Nice to see you again." Danny couldn't control his sarcasm all the time, as some seeped into his greeting.

"Danny, I really need your help. Something happened to Noelle. Where's Naomi?"

"At school. What do you need help for?"

"Noelle has gotten amnesia and can't seem to remember who she is. She unlocked all the doors in Port of Realms! I really need help, and you're the only ones who can."

"Oh. Well, Naomi is still in school. She has latin classes on Mondays and Thursdays. We got to fetch her and then we'll go to Port of Realms."

"Great, come on."

"But my shift doesn't end 'til six."

"Give the job to someone else."

Danny looked for his colleagues, spotting Andrew some metres away, "Andrew! Could you take over the counter? It's an emergency."

Andrew looked at Danny, then Erwin. Both of them looked just as anxious. Danny had covered some of Andrew's shifts in the past, mostly to give Andrew the time to see his sick mother who was in hospital. Andrew smiled at them both, "Sure. Hope it goes well with your 'emergency'."

"Hope so too. Thank you so much, Andrew."

"No problemo."

Danny threw his apron into their break room and rushed out to meet Erwin, "Let's go." No time to lose.
