When it happens.

25: Next step

It's been about two months, I've gotten into my first choice university, quite far from here and I've started construction on aunt cherry's house. I still struggle with panic attacks but I'm getting better. I see jake often and we feel like real siblings, he is going to a university near by and has started talking to his parents more regularly.

Darren is still the first thing on my mind in the morning and the last thing at night, I have to constantly say to my self 'he is happy' to get through the day, hell I've even considered tattooing it.

Talking of tattoos I've started getting more, I've got almost my entire right leg tattooed now, Ryan says I'm his new favourite client because all of his ideas I love.

Jess and Luca have gotten into relationships, Luca is dating a med student called Daniel and Jess is dating her drama partner, Amy. Cianon and Ryan are engaged, since Cianon got knocked up the wedding won't be for a while, but they still seem drunk on love.

They don't have a lot of time so we just Skype every now and again. It's ok with me as I'm busy, I have finished my yoga classes at the rehab as I can't do it as I'll be too far away, maybe I'll get a part time job closer to my uni.

I have gotten an apartment five minutes from the uni and Dan has sat it up so its secure, the paparazzi have followed me around a lot more and I see myself in the papers, they are just documenting on how I am moving on, and my fashion, for some reason.

I spend my time packing, like now.

"I'll miss you." Nadine says as I pack my boxes.

"I'll miss you too, and Toby." I say and put the last few things in a box. "I will always come visit." I say, she nods and grabs a box and brings it down to the van I hired, we fill the van and close it.

"Here." She says "it's a little present." She adds, I poem the box and it's a charm bracelet, not with ordinary charms though, a tattoo machine, a paint brush and art equipment, it's beautiful.

"It's amazing, thank you." I say and hug her. I go to the living room where Toby is and I hug him.

"I'm going now big boy." I say. "I'll miss you." I say and kiss his forehead.

"Love you." He says.

"Love you too." I say, I stand up and walk back to the van.

"I put some snacks in the glove compartment, OK? Have fun." She says, I hug her.

"I will, I'll call you when I get there." I say and with her nod I go to the van and climb in I start driving and I put the  radio on, I start singing as usual and I drive to the motorway.

It takes about two hours to get to my apartment. I call Nadine but a Toby and poop related emergency occurs so it doesn't last long. I go up and see the bare apartment ready, there is a knock at the door. I go and open it.

"I thought you could use some help." Jake says, I smile and hug him.

"Ok before you strangle me why don't we get your shit up here." He says, I laugh and agree. "You look nice." He says as I close the door.

"Thanks." I say and we go into the lift, I look in the mirror and put my hair up. I guess I look good. I'm wearing a loose grey top with the sleeves rolled up and black skinny jeans with rips so my tattoos are visible, and grey low cut converse.

We grab some boxes and soon fill the soon to be living room with the boxes.

"Thanks for helping me." I say as I put the last box down.

"No problem sis, do you need anything else?" He asks, I shake my head and smile.

"Im good." I say.

"Ok, call if you need anything." He says and with my nod he goes. I bite my lip and I as quickly as possible unpack, by the time the sky is dark I have fully unpacked and given the van back. I have a shower and get ready for tomorrow.

I go to bed and as usual think of Darren, I shake my head of the thoughts and I go to sleep. I have to keep focused, I have to take the next step.
