Third Person
Vic sits beside his father's hospital bed, the casts on his father's right leg and left arm prominent and bulky. He sits and looks from his brother, who sits across from him, and his mother as thoughts pass through his mind about their upcoming tour. This one involves Of Mice and Men, All Time Low, Bring Me The Horizon, Sleeping with Sirens, and Pierce The Veil.
"Should we take Lacy with us? I mean, she's whiny, messy, and takes up space on the bus. Plus, that's extra money spent on a hotel room if we get one." Vic asks himself.
The door opens and in walks Jaime with Lacy following right on his heels. She has her sweater sleeves pulled over her knuckles and a frown on her face as she spots her grandfather laying on the hospital bed asleep.
"He may not like me, but I still feel bad for him." Lacy thinks to herself. She looks around at her family, catching a scowl on her father's lips as he stares at her.
"Why can't she just dress up decently? I mean, come on." Vic thinks, his eyes looking her outfit up and down.
Lacy stands there as Jaime takes a seat beside Vic, whispering to him.
"How is he doing?" Jaime asks Vic.
"He's doing good. They're letting him out tomorrow and I think me and Mike will switch back and forth who stays with them." Vic answers his spikey haired best friend.
"Why do I even try anymore? My own father thinks I'm disgusting. If only I could get my hands on a fucking razor..." The lost, depressed girl thinks.
She watches as everybody socializes while she just sits in the corner. A million thoughts run through her mind, the bruise on the side of her face prominent as the sun shines on her face.
"Jaime! Did you beat my granddaughter?!" Her grandmother yells, looking from Lacy to Jaime and back to Lacy.
"No! God no! Me and Tone were watching a game and she was sitting in between us. Tony went to throw his arms in the air but he elbowed her in the head!" Jaime explains just as the door opens and Tony walks in.
"Then why are there bruises on each side of her head?!" Grandma Fuentes yells back.
"There's bruises on both sides?" Jaime asks, getting down in front of Lacy and examining her head. To his surprise, there are bluish purplish bruises on each side of her head.
"Well shit..." Jaime mutters under his breath.
"I-I fell off the bed and hit my head on the side of the bedside table last night." Lacy says quietly, watching as Jaime's expression changes to confused.
"Well gosh child. Did you put some ice on it?" Grandma asks.
"Yeah." Lacy says nodding.
"Anybody hungry?" Jaime asks, looking around at his group of friends, basically family.
"Yeah actually." Mike speaks up, nodding at his friend.
"Well, me and Lace will go get some food from the cafeteria." Jaime says, motioning for Lacy to follow. She stands up, following behind him as he walks down the hallway of the hospital.
Lacy
I follow behind Jaime, heading towards some elevators. The doors open and we step in, him hitting the 1st floor button.
"Why'd you say you fell off the bed? Don't they need to know that you need help?" Jaime suddenly asks, looking down at me.
"They don't need to know. They don't care." I mutter,
"Yes they do. I mean, your grandma was worried about the bruises on your face." He says, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
"They don't care Jaime." I whisper, shrugging his arm off.
Week later
I wake up to somebody shaking me. My eyes open, sun blurring out my vision.
"Come on. It's time to leave." Jaime's familiar voice says. I sit up, rubbing my eyes and looking around at my room. My bags are gone so I'm guessing they're downstairs. I quietly get up, trudging to my bathroom and doing my business. I brush my teeth and hair, and doing my makeup.
I walk back into my room and to my closet. I pull on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a Bring Me The Horizon shirt, and my grey Uggs. I walk back into my room to see Tony and Jaime standing there.
"What are you guys doing?" I ask, looking at them confused.
"We were just waiting on you." Jaime says, looking from Tony to me.
"I'm ready." I say, grabbing my phone. Me and Jaime are close but me and Tony are on awkward levels. The bruises on the sides of my face are gone and healed.
"Lets go! The bus is almost here!" Jaime says, running downstairs. I'm back at my actual home, with my father who thinks I'm non-existent.
When we get downstairs I see Mike and dad sitting in the living room talking.
"Yeah, she's missing a lot of school and we don't really need her on tour with us. We're on tour to tour, not watch a child." Dad says quietly but it's loud enough for me, Tony, and Jaime to hear. Jaime turns to me, a hurt look on his face.
"Its not true." Jaime says, squatting down to my level.
"Damn I'm short.." I think, looking at him.
"Yes it is. I should just stay here.." I whisper.
"Come on guys. They're waiting." Dad calls out, grabbing his bags and walking outside. I grab my bags and follow, watching as the bus sits there barely visible because it's only 4:30 in the morning.
"Is it ready?" Jaime calls out and one of the guys nod, giving a thumbs up. I follow behind Jaime, looking around the huge bus. I put my bags on the top bunk above Jaime's, looking for my spikey haired friend.
"You ready for tour?!" Jaime asks popping up from the side of my bunk.
"Where are we going first?" I ask.
"I think we're taking a stop by Phoenix, Arizona." he says and I nod.
"Okay everybody! Meeting in the living room area!" Dad calls out, clapping his hands. I jump down, following behind Jaime into the living room. I take a seat beside him and look up at dad.
"Okay, we shall go over rules once again. You make the mess, you clean it up." He says, fixing his gaze on me. "Clean up after yourself, don't take forever in the bathroom, and don't be to loud." he finishes and everybody nods.
I feel the bus jerk slightly as it moves.
"Oh God...this isn't going to be so fun.."
A/N: Update! My new kitty has been biting my thumb while typing half of this...he's not nice but he's cuddly...
