Today was the day. Today was her funeral. Vic looks in the mirror at himself, adjusting his hair as he tried to reason with himself that there was a reason to live.
He had gotten bad in the last week and everybody knew it'd get worse over time. They didn't like seeing him sulking and mourning but he needed to. They wouldn't let him ever go as far as harming himself or killing himself.
Jaime walked in, taking a look at Vic and smiling. "She'd be so proud of you." Jaime says, walking to Vic's side. The shorter looked at his friend in the mirror, the tears growing in his eyes.
Vic just nodded, grabbing his phone and a beanie before running downstairs. He met his brother in the living room, sliding on his beanie.
"What time do we leave?" Mike asks, looking up from his phone.
"We probably need to get to the gravesite now." Vic answers, checking the time. Mike nodded, standing up and following the others out to the car.
Vic drove, continuously tapping his fingers on the steering wheel as they got closer and closer to the graveyard. When they pulled up, they got out, walking to where the tent is setup.
Luke, Jack, Alex, Zack, Rian, Austin, Alan, Tino, Phil, Aaron, Kellin, Katelynne, and many others sitting there already. Luke was almost in a dazed state, his whole world numb.
Luke might've only known Lacy personally for a couple of months, but in those couple of months, he fell in love with her, hard. His whole body was numb and he couldn't feel any emotion.
The guys take a seat, listening to the priest get started. Vic looks over to the casket, seeing her pale face, and feeling the tears rush down his cheeks. He wanted to have an open casket to say an official goodbye to his daughter. He wanted to see her one last time.
As the priest finishes, he invites the first row to come up and say their goodbyes. Vic shakily stands, straightening out his Key Street shirt, his favourite shirt. He walks up to the casket, Mike, Jaime, and Tony standing around him. He looks down at her and collapses to the ground, sobbing harshly. His hands grab the edge of the casket, pulling himself up so he can lean inside of it. He grabs one of her hands and brushes her hair from her face.
"Please come back baby.. Please.. I need you here with me.." He sobs, his tears dropping onto her right cheek. Everybody lets him have his moment, not daring to try and pull him away or she'd come with him. He let out a small, shaky sob before starting to hum.
He hummed the entire song of Hold On Till May, hoping she'd some how wake up and hum along, coming from the casket and hugging him. He hoped she would've held him and told him she was fine and that she was still alive, and never leaving. When that didn't happen, he broke down again, harsh sobs leaving his lips and shaking his body.
Luke watched Vic, getting up from his seat and running. He didn't know why or where he was running to but he kept going. He kept running until he couldn't any longer and fell to the ground, sobbing out and punching the ground. He looked up and saw her. He saw Lacy.
"Luke.." she whispered softly, reaching a hand out. He reached out also, feeling nothing but cold in his hand. "Luke.. Take care please.." she whispered before disappearing in the wind, causing him to cry out. He just wanted to hold her, kiss her again.
Vic was pulled away by Jaime, Kellin, Tony, and Mike, and carried to his seat. Jaime held Vic, rocking him as Vic let out all of his cries and sobs. Everybody around them watched as Vic crashed to the ground, possibly never going to get back up again.
The fans were devastated because the band was devastated. They had made Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr accounts for her. Everybody was sharing the love all around but of course there are always that group of people that don't show love.
They continuously tweeted, posted, and blogged nasty, hurtful things about her. It got to Vic and he tried to ignore but wherever he looked, he read those nasty things.
Why are people so cruel? What did she ever do to them? She was perfect. She was beautiful. She wasn't a whore. She was gorgeous. She was pretty. She was worth it. She didn't deserve to die. She didn't need to take her life. Why are they doing this? Vic asked himself every day.
Vic looked out the window of the tour bus just days after her funeral. They wanted to keep going as a band and this tour was dedicated to Lacy. Every single show was sold out and every penny they made from it went to making things for Lacy. They were making shirts, bracelets, they even took a lot of the money to make a memorial place for her. So many fans had visited her grave, leaving so many flowers and things.
Lacy couldn't help but watch her father from her bunk across from him. The guys had put her pillow, blanket, and favourite stuffed animal in her bunk for memories. Vic knew she was watching him, he knew she could see him but he wished he could see her.
He looked up and seen her, scrambling from his bunk to hers. He wrapped is arms around her, sobbing into her shoulder.
"Please wake up baby.. Please.." Vic begs, looking up at her face to see tears streaming down her face.
"I can't daddy.. I'm happy now.." She whispers, kissing his forehead.
"Please.. I need you here.." He sobs, tightening his grip around her.
"I'm going to go be with Mitch daddy.. He'll take care of me until you get here.. I promise.. I love you so much daddy.." she whispers and he sobs even more.
"I love you too darling.." he whispers as she disappears.
Vic curls into a ball, sobbing into her pillow as he screams out. "Come back! Please!" Jaime comes running in, standing in front of Lacy's bunk looking down at Vic.
"Vic." he whispers, getting in and holding his friend.
"Why won't she come back?!" Vic sobs, nuzzling his face into Jaime's chest.
"I wish she could too buddy but she's gone forever. You'll see her when it's your time. I promise." Jaime whispers, stroking Vic's curly hair.
"I just want my baby back.." Vic croaks.
Lacy watched as her father croaked and sobbed and fell. She knew how he felt and she knew what it was like to be depressed but he'd get through it. She knew he would. If she could somewhat conquer it, he could too.
She turned on her heel and disappeared, heading back to Mitch, smiling at him. "You're a very beautiful girl who doesn't deserve to be here." He says as they sit together in a peaceful silence.
"I do deserve to be here. But you don't. You deserve to be at home with your wife and daughter." Lacy says and Mitch sighs.
"I miss them but I'll see them one day." He says and Lacy lays her head on his shoulder.
"I just hope dad doesn't leave when he wants.." Lacy sighs and Mitch kisses her head.
"Everything will be okay.." he whispers.
A/N: THIS. IS. NOT. THE. END. I. PROMISE. THERE'S A FEW MORE CHAPTERS TO GO. MAYBE ONE OR TWO.
