Luke
"Luke Thomas Hollow!" I hear a manly, familiar voice yell, his footsteps becoming known and closer. I instinctively push Lacy behind me as I turn to face the monster that is my father.
"What." I ask, watching as he takes a stand in front of me. His face is hardened and he looks pissed.
"I heard you were getting in fights for that whore." he snarls and my body tenses.
"She's. Not. A. Whore." I growl, my fists clenching at my side.
"Oh, open your eyes son! She's just going to use you and leave!" he yells, getting in my face.
"You don't know her! Maybe you'd know she was a good person if you would've been the father you're supposed to be and been there for me! Maybe you'd know she's an amazing girl if you weren't stuck up plenty of whore's asses while I stood by and met her! Maybe if you weren't drunk you'd have known I have found the one I want, the one I love!" I yell back, watching his face fill with shock.
"Well maybe I was mourning over the passing of my wife! I was mourning because your mother died!" he yells, pointing at me.
"She died because you beat her to death!" I yell, the tears building up as I remember the day I watched my own father kill my mother.
"Y-You promised you'd never bring it up.." he whispered, backing away from me.
"Who the hell are you?" Vic's familiar voice asks as he shows up at my side.
"I'm his father." James says, looking me up and down.
"Was. He was my father." I say, emphasising "was".
"I really think you should leave." Vic says, looking from me to James.
"I-I think I should too.." James says before turning and walking away. I sigh, shaking my had and running a hand through my hair.
"Luke?" Lacy's soft, voice whispers, tugging on my arm. I look down at her and her cheeks are red, her nose like Rudolph the Reindeers. She's looking up at me, scared.
"What's wrong?" I ask, cupping her cheek. I run my thumb over the red skin, feeling the coldness of it.
"D-Did he really..." She trails off, averting her gaze from mine. I sigh again, kissing her forehead.
"He did." I whisper against her skin, feeling her arms wrap around my torso.
"I'm sorry.." she mumbles into my chest and I smile.
"Its not your fault baby. Don't apologize." I say, hugging her close.
"Awww." Jaime coos, before walking back inside with the rest of the guys.
Lacy peers up at me, fluttering her eyelashes at me. She pulls back, smiling at me, before leaning up and kissing me softly. Her cold, soft lips on mine blow my world away and leave me wanting more. Her lips on mine make everything else in the world disappear. When we pull back, she's still smiling.
"You know, I haven't asked you what I need to." I say and her eyebrows furrow.
"What is it?" She asks.
"Will you be mine? Be my girlfriend?" I ask, looking down at her and see the smile reappear on her lips.
"Of course." she answers, and I wrap my arms around her waist, picking her up and twirling her around. She giggles, wrapping her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. I kiss her cheek, putting her down and taking hold of her hand.
Jacob
I walk by the house I hate walking by every day. It's her house. I see her and that damn boy hugging and kissing like they're in love. He doesn't love her. I do. She's supposed to be mine but no, I have to fuck everything up. I should be the one she's kissing, the one she's hugging, the one she's holding onto. Not that boy, whatever his fucking name is.
I make sure to not be seen as I make it past her house, my blood boiling as I look behind me to see them kissing again. I nearly snap but hold myself back, turning my attention to the sidewalk as I walk to my house.
When I get home, my dad's sitting on the couch watching some football game and moms in the kitchen cooking. Just as I'm about to make my way upstairs, the sound of my father's voice stops me.
"Heard you got in a fight and got suspended for two weeks." He calls out and I curse under my breath.
"Yeah." I answer.
"What the hell has gotten into you Jacob. You're the fucking quarter back of the school. You're not supposed to be beating people's faces in." He says and I sigh.
"I know dad but I got kicked off the team for it." I say and I hear the sound of a glass shattering.
"Goddammit Jacob Miller!" he yells and I wince.
"I know dad." I mumble and he stands up, walking to me and grabbing the collar of my shirt.
"You better get your shit together. And now." he growls and I gulp. nodding quickly. He shoves me back. "Go to your room and don't come down until dinners done." he says and I scramble up the stairs to my room, softly shutting it behind me.
I sit on my bed, running a hand through me hair. My face hurts and I'm pretty sure I should've gone to get it checked out but it's fine.
I pull off my shirt and lay back, sighing.
Why can't she just be mine? I know I fuck everything up but I love her. Can't she see it?
