Jensen walks down and looks at west then me. "What's so funny?" He asks as we both laugh.
"We were talking about that time that I went to Mexico." I calm my laughter.
"Remember that one time when I just got here and you were trying to make sure I was safe and I liked it and you slipped and then fell down the stairs really slowly!" West laughs harder.
"I was nervous!" I laugh along.
"I don't remember this.." Jensen says softly.
"You were out with Jared I think." I tell him.
"Ooh! And last week when you were making me grilled cheese and you forgot to put the cheese in."
"When was this?" Jensen asks.
"When you went golfing."
"Oh."
"Hey remember when you and Jensen.." I stop trying to think of a time they did something together.
"Hey what if we hang out today?" Jensen asks.
"Like just the two of us?"
"Yeah. I've hardly gotten to see you since you came here and I wanna know more about you."
"Oh.. Ok." West gives me a worried look. I cock my head and give him my best puppy dog eyes.
"Go get changed baby." I tell Jensen.
"Ok!" He jumps up stairs like a 7 year old about to get a puppy.
"Please west one day?"
"I don't really know him though."
"You didn't know me either." I smile.
"But he's so different. He likes reading-"
"I like reading."
"He likes boring stuff ok."
"West you're gonna hang out with him today and then you're gonna come home ok." I tell him in a very parent tone.
"No.. If he doesn't wanna hang out with me that's fine." Jensen says walking back into the kitchen.
"Jen-" I start.
"No." He stops me. "All I wanted to do was try and have one good day with my son but apparently he's not even my son he's yours."
"It's not my fault your busy and I have to take care of him."
"Oh so now this is my fault?!"
"No! But-"
"But you're always out! You do the shopping and you pay our bills and you make sure the people we need are happy." He says a high pitched voice.
"Wow." I roll my eyes. "I can't believe you're acting this way."
"I was just as excited as you to have a kid and now our kid doesn't even like me." He puts his cup down and runs up stairs. I look at west with an angry look.
"Clean up the kitchen, please." I run upstairs to see Jensen laying in bed. "Baby..?" I whisper knocking lightly on the door frame.
"All I wanted was one day to spend with him and then I find out he think I'm boring and stupid."
"He didn't say stupid." I walk over to him.
"He hates me."
"He needs to get to know you." I say running my thumb softly against his cheek.
"How is that gonna happen he doesn't even wanna be around me."
"The three of us are going to hang out today." I tell him. "I will force you two to get along."
"You don't gotta-"
"And thank you for doing everything you do." I cut him off. "Thank you so much Jen. I couldn't pay our light bill with that angry old lady there and I couldn't pay the trash truck guys because they just think I'm some wimpy gay guy and thank you for playing golf with him. I'd have no patients."
"You're committed to me now." He grins. "No skipping out to go sleep with Jared."
"Dang it." I lean down and kiss him. "Will you get up now so we can go have a fun and awkward day?"
"Yeah."
