"Are you sure you're ready or this, Y/N?" Y/BFF/N questions, helping you and Lily get ready to have dinner at Shawn's. I shrug, am I ready?

My heart still aches after the events 14 months ago..

"Shawn! You can't just leave everything behind! What about your friends! Your family! What about...me?" I ask weakly

Shawn pulls a hand through his slightly long locks, pulling. He needs a haircut. "I don't want to leave any of this behind Y/N! Especially you" He approaches me, placing a hand on my cheek.

I place a hand over his and we just stare at each other. "Shawn please, I love you" Shawn smashes our lips together as if I'll be gone in a second if he stops. My arms wrap tightly around his neck as his go around my waist.

We pull away and press our foreheads together, "Please" I whisper. Shawn shakes his forehead gently and I open my eyes..he's gone.

"He doesn't know about Lily, does he?" I shake my head

"Y/N, you have to tell him! I know you're probably scared he's going to get angry or ashamed but you know in your heart he won't! He fucking loves you!" Tears begin spilling as Y/BFF/N goes on.

"He left because he couldn't stand seeing you like this, knowing he was the cause to your broken heart. It broke his heart knowing he had to leave the one thing he can't live without..you"

I struggle for words. "I-I can't—"

"He's been a mess without you Y/N, you just didn't know"

"Not everything your read on the internet is true. He hasn't been sleeping around, he hasn't been 'going to clubs, he's been finding a way to get back to you. This whole fucking time. All he could do was think about you Y/N, you're his world"

I let the sobs and tears fall. Lily comes rushing to my side, "Mama! What's wrong!"

"Shawn and I kept in touch..because he wanted to make sure you were okay" Y/BFF/N explains.

"W-why didn't he just come back when he could! He just left me without a goodbye! I-I couldn't function without him! He's my lifeline!" I sob

Lily hugs me tightly. I kiss the top of her head and squeeze her in my arms. "I love you Lily, so so much"

"I love wove you too mama!" Lily mumbles.

"C'mon you two, time to see him"

I'm parked outside of Shawn's townhouse that wasn't too far from the grocery store. The outside looks very tall an colourful, giving it life on sunny days. His black jeep is parked in the driveway. I turn off the car and unbuckle myself.

It's Lily's turn and I grab the nursing bag, along with mine. We both walk up the steps and doorbell. I hear a "hold on!" From the other side and wait a moment. My hands are shaking with anticipation and anxiety. My heart is beating at least 41 beats per minute.

Footsteps approach the door as it swings open. Shawn's bright eyes light up as he sees me, then looks down at Lily, with an even brighter expression. "Hey little lady! How are you?" Lily hides behind my leg, "Okay" she mumbles.
