Prologue Pt4

I sat in third period, just daydreaming. Remembering all the things me and dad used to do. Okay. That's enough. I'm being extremely pathetic right now. Cut that out, Immortal. I sighed in defeat and Mr. Griffin called my name.

"ImmortalHD, are you paying attention to my class?" He asked me, the class silencing. I looked up at him and I saw Sly looking over to me from the corner of my eye.

"Yes sir. I am." I answered Mr. Griffin. He gave me a look and continued on with his lesson, not saying anything else to me. I decided to pay attention to the stupid English teacher for the rest of the period.

Lunch time came around and I walked on ahead of everyone else. I wasn't hungry, no, I just wanted to hurry so I could spend lunch alone. That didn't happen though. When I sat with my food tray at the table I sat at yesterday, Magyk came up to me and sat down.

"Hey, Immortal. Can I sit here? Cool, thanks." He said, laughing at the end. I stared at him for a few seconds with a 'wtf' look, and just said, "What." Magyk started laughing again and I joined in this time. We laughed for a few minutes more before finally eating.

"Hey, Immortal," Sly greeted walking up to me and Magyk. "I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me and The Creatures." I looked at Magyk and then back at Sly.

"Uh, actually, I'm sitting here with Magyk. How about tomorrow?" I suggested. Sly's eyes held an unknown emotion before he smiled softly and nodded.

"It's fine. Tomorrow you can. I'll tell the guys." He said, walking away after. Magyk faced me with a guilty expression across his face.

"You can go sit with them, if you want. You don't need to hang around with silly old me." Magyk said, frowning slightly. I shook my head and smiled at him in reassurance.

"Dude, it's fine. I have tomorrow to sit with them. I want to sit with you today." I told him. He smiled back at me and we finished our food, standing up and going out to the courtyard.

"This is so weird." Magyk said, sitting next to me on the bench.

"How?" I asked.

"It's the first time since school started that I haven't been beat up during lunch." He said, looking at his hands in his lap.

"Oh. Well, I think those days are over for you." I told him. He smiled softly, not looking up.

"I hope they are." He said. We stayed quiet for the next few minutes. I heard the doors open and then heard a loud laugh, followed by small giggles. I looked up and saw three girls walking out. Who were they?

One girl ran to a bench near ours and dived on it, laying on in on her back. "Hyper, you son of a bitch!" One of the two other girls yelled, pointing at the one who was lying down. The latter started laughing again.

"Excuse me, I believe my name is HyperKittyJKat, not, HyperPuppyJDog. So, I believe your argument is invalid." She said in a smart ass tone. Her friends rolled their eyes at her and sat on the top back of the bench. Magyk tapped my shoulder and I leaned towards him, still looking at the odd group of girls.

"They're new here. All three of them. HyperKittyJKat, I.F.P.C., and NinjaSkateCupcake. Or, Hyper, IF, and Ninja. I have all of them in my classes so far. Hyper is the loudest and funniest, though." Magyk said, chuckling at the end.

I stopped staring and laughed a bit. They seemed....interesting. Just then, The Creatures all walked out, laughing like the mornings, and sitting at their table. I saw Hyper sit up, almost knocking her friends over, and run over to the table. "Kootra~!" She exclaimed, mini jumping on his back. He stumbled and laughed.
