I pulled away from Jake surprised. "Jake." I said. He looked down and looked so embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, I just... I was so worried and I guess my feelings got the best of me for a second. I'm sorry." He apologized, rubbing his arm nervously.
"It's fine it just... shocked me. That's all." I said. He didn't take it, though.
"No, no I'm sorry. I just... I'm sorry."
"Jake, stop apologizing. It's fine." I tried again.
"Okay, sorry. Oh, fuck! Sorry! I mean...ugh." He dropped his head to his hands. "I can't stop apologizing, you know me."
I smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah that's true."
"I'm going to, uh, go now. Sorry." Jake mumbled, standing and running out of the room. I heard the bathroom door close and I sighed. Why is all of this just plain confusing? My phone's notification go off so I pulled it out from my pocket. It was Magyk. My eyes widened at the text. This just made things way worse.
I know we barely know each other, but I feel like you need me somehow. I really like you and I know you don't feel the same, but I might as well try. I wanted to ask in person or at least over the phone so you could my voice, but I kind of can't. So, here it goes. Immortal, Aleks, will you go on a date with me tonight?
