Chapter 10

A few days later...

SKYLAR'S POV

My eyes shoot open as soon as I hear the soft sound of knocking against my glass window. I groan as I sit up and reach over to grab my phone. I flash the screen on, it's 3:08am who could possibly be knocking on my window???

I stand up and shove my feet into my Lilo and Stich slippers. I flip on my bedside lamp and almost die when I see some guy in a hoodie sitting on my window seal.

I slowly pick up my trusty tennis racket I keep under my bed (for protection of course) and tip toe towards my window. As soon as I'm about 3 feet away from my window the guy yanks off his hoodie and I drop the tennis racket while I mentally punch myself in the face.

"You scared the living poo out of me Norman gosh." I sigh while swiftly opening the lache on the window and letting him in.

"Sorry." He chuckles awkwardly.

"It's cool. I have one question though?" I say sitting down in my rolly chair next to my desk.

Jace sits on my bed seemily eager to hear my question. "Shoot."

I push a strand of my hair out my face and crack a smile. "Why are you here?"

"Because I wanna take you somewhere." Jace grins.

I try to keep a straight face but fail miserably. "Where? I don't think anything's open at this hour."

"Well your thoughts are wrong, there is some place open..." Jace says smugly.

Please tell me why I can't stop smiling at his stupid face?! I don't know it's just something about this moment that's making me happy. Old Jace never snuck into my house at 3am and offered to take me anywhere...

What's wrong with him???

"K I have another question." I grin spinning around in the chair.

"Blast." Jace says.

"What made you descide to come here?"

"You. Lately I've been thinking about you ALOT. Like ya know so I can remember you. And it's just, I really don't know anything about you. So I wanna change that. The other day I spoke to Jake and Jordan and they told me exactly where to take you. I was gonna take you tomorrow but I just couldn't sleep-you-I just, I couldn't stop thinking about you."

My cheeks burn red. "Get out." I say.

Jace's face falls. "What why? I'm sorry for ranting like that I just- "

I cut him off by standing up to face him, well looking up to him because he's about 5 inches taller than me. "I want you to get out so I can change. You know, so we can go wherever you're taking me. I can't change in front of you." I grin.

I laugh as Jace's face flushes red. "OH yeah I'm sorry. I'll just- I'll be outside." I watch him crawl back out of my window.

He's such a dork.

I quickly put on a pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie. I brush the sleepy tangles out of my hair and slip on my converse. I then grab my phone and house keys and shove them into my pocket before quickly shutting off my light and sneaking out of my window.

As soon as I drop to the ground Jace grabs my wrist and pulls me with him to my driveway.

I stop in my tracks as soon as I see Xander's car.

"Xander let you borrow this?" I ask shocked as I point to the brand new car Jace's dad had just bought Xander last week.

Jace nervously scratches the back of his head. "I kinda took it without asking..."
