Ashton's POV;
I woke up with the girl of my dreams in my arms.Marie looked up at me with her glistening brown eyes and whispered a good morning to me.
I shifted my body so I could stretch comfortably, and then repositioned my arms around Marie. I wish I could stay like this forever.
The silence was quickly broken by the sound of glass shattering downstairs. I checked to make sure my door was locked, but in horror, I found it wasn't.
I practically flew out of the bed and slammed my hand against the lock causing it click and quickly turned around and pressed my back against the door.
"What was that?" Marie asked
"I think it was Justin again," I sighed "Let's just wait and see if he calms down."
She nodded and buried her head into the covers, while I pressed against the door, waiting and hoping for the sounds to stop. But they didn't.
In fact they only grew more fierce and louder, slowly making they're way towards my door.
Suddenly, it was deathly quiet. Too quiet. A quiet to make you sick to your stomach.
Wood shattered as a fist slammed through my door. Marie screamed and I have to admit I may have screamed a little as well. But to be fair I wasn't expecting it.
"Where's that girl?!" Justin roared
Marie looked so petrified that she couldn't even scream. Why was everyone coming after her?
Before I even had time to react, yet another smash sounded on my door.
I knew then that this was fight or flight. Knowing Justin I chose flight.
I quickly opened my window and instructed Marie what to do.
"Okay, calm down!" I said frantically "Your gonna be fine. I'm going to go out the window first and then I'll catch you. Okay?"
I could tell Marie wasn't sure about this plan, but she still nodded her head in agreement. I'm glad she trusts me.
Pounding steadily continued at my door as we made our escape.
I crept out my window and hesitantly slipped to the ground.
When my body came in contact with the grassy ground I felt a sharp pain in my right ankle.
I sucked in my breath and tightly held my ankle.
"Ashton!" Marie whispered-screamed at me, "Are you okay?!" Panic was evident in her voice.
"Yes. I'm fine." I gasped through slightly gritted teeth.
If our plan had worked as we wanted it too, Marie would have jumped out the window and I would have caught her, and we would successfully make our getaway.
But as always, things never work out the way you plan for them too.
Before Marie even had time to respond, I heard the door crashing down and heavy footsteps make they're way towards the window.
I didn't even have time to yell a warning to Marie, as I saw a gruff hand reach out and wrap itself around Marie's neck.
