Carl's Pov
I didn't get much sleep, I was thinking most of the time. Nicki was in the bathroom for a long time that's why I asked if she was in there.
I hear footsteps come down and it's her. It looks like she has something to say.
"Say it" I said.
"What you did for me was really nice but you can't act a certain way around me, you can't even talk to me in public so I really don't think this friendship is going to workout Carl thanks for the waffles and all but I'm not hungry I got to go".
"Wait Nicki". She turned around with those beautiful crystal blue eyes that remind me of the ocean.
"What Carl".
"I broke up with Bonnie". I lied, I didn't breakup with Bonnie but I want her to stay more than anything in the world.
"And....." She said with a long pause in between.
I had a blank stare I didn't know what to say. She really doesn't care if I date or not date Bonnie.
"Carl I love you for you not for your fucking player ass I love the old Carl who cares about me for being me and didn't hide it and when kids bullied me he was always there to kick there ass. I love that Carl; this Carl I actually can't stand".
She slammed the door loudly to prove her point. She did prove her point. I'm a dick. And that kept running through my brain.
Nicki's Pov
My dinner is delicious, 36 pills and a glass of water to wash it down. Fell asleep for the rest of the night.
I thought about what Carl said to me. How he broke up with Bonnie. I was happy so so happy. I didn't show it but I was on cloud 9.
Breakfast was ok, a pack of smokes and not a care in the world.
Locked myself in the bathroom for an hour. Cut myself on the thighs and stomach.
I heard my doorbell ring. I struggled to get out of bed to answer because I have no energy because I haven't been eating. "Yes sir".
I looked and there was no one there except for a note I picked it up and walked upstairs. It said "be ready".
