Chapter 8 - Why Am I Like This?

Min Jung's POV

I almost fell asleep in class 'cause it was too boring but thanks to Kai who kept poking me on my arm, kept me awake. I yawned loudly, capturing the attention of my math teacher. "Ms Park, cover your mouth when you yawn please." She scolded.

"Sorry." I apologised just when the lunch bell rang.

"Okay class dismissed." and everyone got up from their seats and rushed out of the classroom while chatting happily.

I packed my stuff and was going to leave when someone stopped me with a firm grip on my arm. I turned around to find Kai narrowing his eyes at me.

"What do you want Kim Jong In?" I rolled my eyes in dismay. "I want you to make it up to me for causing me to be late for school today." He raised an eyebrow.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"How 'bout i treat you to lunch? Will that shut your damn mouth up?" I was starting to get annoyed at his persistence.

"Yup," he replied, popping the 'p'. "So lets get going. I'm hungry." He dragged me out of the classroom.

"Hey! Slow down!" I shouted and I let him drag me all the way to the cafeteria, earning glares and whispers from the students at the hallway.

I have never seen this side of Kai before. Being all nice and cheery. Just when I thought he was being genuinely nice he stopped and turned around to look at me, "Don't think that I'm treating you nicely. I'm still not happy being tied down with you. I'm only happy because I don't needa spend my money on lunch so don't think to much." He glared at me before dragging me with him.

"So much for thinking that you changed... afterall you're still a jerk. Pshh.." I mumbled to myself in dismay.

"Wahhh this is good." Kai wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. I was sandwiched between Eunhye and Kai and the two were annoying the shit out of me. One was eating with lots of noise the other was talking non-stop. I hurriedly finished my food and stood up to leave. They looked at each other and watch me leave.

I went to my lockers to dump the books I didn't need and grabbed the books for the last few lessons. I slammed my locker shut only to greet Eunhye's expressionless face when I was about to leave.

"YAH! I TOLD YOU NOT TO DO THAT ALREADY RIGHT?!" I screamed in her face. She did not flinch at all, instead, she shoved a bottle of banana milk in my face and started drinking her own like a baby.

"Yah, where do you even get so many bottles of banana milk?" I asked her out of curiosity. She then pulled me towards her huge locker (it's a premium locker. I know this kinda thing doesnt really exist but just imagine it does here) and opened it, revealing a mini fridge fully stocked with banana milk. (Okay i know this is weird)

I stared at her locker with wide eyes. "What even... okay I am so getting an upgrade for my locker." I joked.

"Come on let's get to class." Eunhye grabbed her bag from her locker and walked ahead of me to class.

Another day passed and I was walking back home. I took my key out and unlocked the door. The moment I entered the maids greeted me and I smiled back. I was walking up the stairs when I heard some inappropriate noises coming from the bedroom. Thinking that I was just hearing things, I opened the room door.

"Oh my god I'm so so sorry. I'll leave now!" I saw the most inappropriate scene I've ever seen in my life the moment I stepped foot into the room. I pretended to not notice anything and quickly (and awkwardly) dumped my bag beside the table and ran out, but not before slamming the door.

"Yah! Don't you know what is privacy?!" He shouted from the room. I ignored him and ran down the stairs, tripping on the last few steps.

I felt my chest tighten. I felt my heart hurt when I saw that. I felt like tears were going to escape my eyes.

But why? Why am I feeling like this? Why do I wish I hadn't seen that?
