"So... Min Jung, you will be engaged to Jong In!" Mom exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement.

"b-but mom... I'm t-too young! I'm only 17 and I don't want to be tied down by a forced marriage! I OBJECT!" I screamed the last part. I don't care if I'm not behaving in front of his parents but my parents doesn't care about it so I shall not care for once. *stubborn*

"Park Min Jung! Behave yourself please!" Father gave me a warning glare which I returned. "Min Jung... you need to understand that one day you father will not be the chairman of the company and both the Kim's and Park's company will collab and Jong In will take over." Mom explained.

'Kai say something!' I mouthed and kicked his leg under the table. He jolt up and looked lost. "I-i also object. And how am I suppose to take over both companies! I have my own dream too achieve!"

"Jong In, becoming an idol is a stupid dream. Just give it up." His father said. "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS DISAPPROVING THE THINGS I DO?!" and with that Kai stomped out of the dining room, fuming mad. "Sorry for his behaviour." Mrs Kim apologised. "Well Min Jung, go and talk to him. And try to get to know each other more." Mom suggested which in my mind I totally objected but I stood up and went to find Kai. He was in the backyard walking aimlessly, drawing circles in the dirt with his foot, kicking the small stones. "Yah Kim Jon-" i got cut off by Kai, "Don't fking talk to me now. I swear I'll cut your tongue if you speak another word." "B-bu-" then again I got cut off by him, "I SAID DON'T TALK TO ME!" he screamed at me. I was taken aback as I took a few small steps back. "Let me get this straight. This engagement or contract thing will only be for business, otherwise we will continue our own lives as per norm, just make sure no one knows, only EXO and that dumb friend of yours know. Get it? Also, by chance if we have to act all couple-ish and all, just put on a show. Your acting's good right? I'm sure you can do well. Now, shall we go in?" He smiled with a slight hint of mischief. Excuse me? EunHye is my bff and she's not dumb. You're the one who's dumb here... you retard. I sighed and nodded. He walked ahead of me while I quietly walked behind him. When we got back the food was already served and our parents had started eating. "Oh have you gotten to know each other more?" Mrs Kim asked as she put down her cutlery. "We're seatmates for almost two years so we practically know each other quite a bit." Kai smiled ever so.. *takes a deep breath* fakely. "That's right Mrs Kim." I nodded in acknowledgement. "Don't call me Mrs Kim, call me Eommoni." She smiled. "Ah ne.. eommoni." It felt super weird to call Jong In's mom eommoni. "So.. the engagement party will be held next we-" I cut off Appa's words. "WHAT?! I-I mean s-so fast? W-why the rush?" I stuttered. This is just getting crazier and crazier I swear. Unbelievable! "Then the wedding will be held if our companies' merge is doing fine in the future." They even thought about marriage? *claps slowly* Jong In was shaking his head all the time, making me wonder if he ever gets dizzy. I started eating the food in front of me in silence. "I want grandchildren as soon as possible though... I'm not young already." Mr Kim voiced out his honest opinions, making me choke on my food and Jong In to spit out the water he was drinking. please just let a hole underneath me swallow me now... a glass was handed to me as I gladly gulped it down to calm myself down. "Isn't that a bit too far... I mean it's impossible." I tried to say it as polite as I could and gave an awkward laugh. "Aye.. anything is possible. I can't wait to see little Min Jung and Jong In running around in the new house we got for you two." Eomma spazzed. This conversation is getting more and more ridiculous.

After sending off the Kim family I lazily walked to my room and flopped on my bed, burrowing my head in my pillow. I lifted my head and grabbed my phone from the bedside table. I decided to talk to Eunhye about it. I called her without knowing the time, therefore earning a loud 'Yah!'. I put the phone away from my ears. "Do you know what time it is now?!! Its freaking 12:30 am !!!" She literally screamed into the phone. "Mianhe mianhe." I apologised half-heartedly. "So your purpose of calling?" She asked in a groggy voice. "Don't get suprised. I'm going to be engaged to Kim Kai." I sighed. "MWO?! UNBELIEVABLE! Yah, stop kidding." She shouted. "I'm not.. it's for real, we had dinner earlier and talked about it. The engagement is freaking next week. I'm going crazy." I took a deep breath and raked a hand through my hair. "Oh my gawd... Uwaaaahhh jinjja, I can't believe my best friend is getting engaged earlier than me. Any plans for marriage too?" She asked in a playful tone. "Yah! Shut your mouth. It won't happen, unless the merge between the two companies are doing well. Aishh..!" I messed my hair with my free hand. "Virtually pats you on the back. Talk to you in school tomorrow." She suggested. "Okay then. Goodnight." She hung up on me and I look at my phone with disbelief. I groaned and put my phone back on the table.

I laid on my bed as I rethink about the conversations during dinner. I felt like killing myself as I kept thinking and thinking about my future (with Kim Jong In) until I fell asleep
