Chapter 10 - Mom! Don't Ask For Kids!

Kai's POV

Pshh... who does she think she is? Fine. If she doesn't want to sleep on the bed then it's not my problem. She can just go and sleep somewhere. On the streets, the guestroom, on the couch, I DON'T CARE. Okay maybe I do. Hold on, you shouldn't care about her Kim Kai. Wait, why am I talking to myself?

I slapped my face a few times before wandering into dreamland.

{Next morning}

I woke up after receiving a text from mom that she is coming over for a visit. Aftee washing up, I ask a maid who was walking past to bring my breakfast to the living room on the second floor. It was better there then at the dining table.

As I arrive at the living space, I was surprised to see Min Jung sleeping on the couch. I walked closer to get a better look at her face. She look so cute and prett- no no no. 'Kim Jong In. Wake up. She's not pretty. She's not cute. She's just the Min Jung in school. Yes yes.' I tried convincing myself. I must be going crazy. This is crazy. I look at her lips. It looked so kissa- there I go again. 'What is wrong with you you idiot?!' I couldn't be developing feelings for her right? My train of thoughts was cut off by a maid who came in with my breakfast.

"Thank you." She bowed and left. I started eating the toasts and drank the coffee prepared. While I was drinking the coffee, I heard Min Jung mumble "Kim Kai you jerk." I almost spat out the coffee and quickly swallowed it, burning my throat in the process. I coughed a bit and cleared my throat. Aish.. I set the cup of coffee on the table and just sat there like an idiot, not knowing what to do. Or more like contemplating on whether I should or should not wake that girl up. After thinking for minutes, I decided to wake her up before mom arrives.

"Yah, wake up. Wakey wakey." I poked her arm a few times.

"Why... just leave me alone." She swatted her arm and hugged the pillow tighter.

"Yah! Time to wake up you wret-" I was cut off by her screaming she was awake. I huffed.

"Go and wash up. Mom's arriving soon." I urged her as I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"Yes dad!" She saluted and smiled like some idiot. She lazily got up and made her way to the washroom. What happened to her? Did something affect her brain? Did she just call me dad? But her smile was swee- okay there I go again. KIM JONG IN STOP IT. I shook my head a few times before picking up the abandoned cup of now cold coffee and gulping everything down, hoping it'd clear my head and wake myself up even more.

15 minutes later the doorbell rang.

"Jong In-ah, Mom's here!" I quickly ran down the stairs to greet mom who was in the living room, with Min Jung's mom as well.

"Eomma." She gave me a big hug.

"Hello Jong In. Where's Min Jung? Is she home?" Min Jung's mom asked.

"Hello eommoni. Yes, Min Jung is at home." The moment I mentioned her, Min Jung ran down the stairs hurriedly, tripping on the last few steps before stumbling in front of her mom and giving her a bear hug.

"Eomma, I missed you." She spoke with a muffled voice.

"I missed you too my baby girl. Let me look at you. Aigoo... you seem to have matured here. My baby girl's all grown up." She smiled cheekily. It almost made me want to puke to be honest. It was like the biggest she showed. Otherwise she was the rude girl in school (towards me).

"So.. When can I see my grandchildren?" Mom asked out of the blue while we were drinking coffee. We simultaneously spat out of coffee in shock, choking a little in the process.

"Eomma, aren't we t-too yo-oung? I mean, we're still studying!" I whined.

"Jong In is right. We are still attending school... and I have dreams I've yet to achieve.. furthermore, starting a family has never crossed my mind." Min Jung had her eyes widened as she reasoned out. I just nodded.

"I guess we will not be seeing our grandchildrens until we are 70 years old! I'll be so old then.." Eommoni sighed.

"It's better that way..." I bluntly stated.

"Yah! I don't want to die without grandchildren."

"I get it, I get it." I laid back into the couch I was sitting on, grumbling to myself.

Not a very nice update cos i kinda ran outta ideas to write.. and im dead tired. Supposingly i was suppose to update yesterday but i didnt actually have the mood. We'll hope you enjoy this chapt (as well as the book so far!) Thanks !!!
