"Do we have to go?" Troy questions as Sophie leads him closer to the Freestyle club entrance.
"Troy, it's New Year's Eve! Relax and have some fun okay?" pleads Sophie.
"Come on Soph, why don't me and you just go hang out somewhere?" Troy tries to bargain.
Chuckling Sophie responds, "Sure you and I can go hang out somewhere." Before Troy can get his hopes up she ends with, "And that somewhere is the party, babe."
Groaning, Troy opens the door to the club, exposing themselves to the soft chatter and the karaoke singers. With one hand in his pocket and the other around Sophie's waist, Troy leads his girlfriend through the club, apprehension clear on his face. Excited chatter fills their ears and a spotlight moves across the room randomly, surprising the couple at first.
Moving to a beam closer to the stage, Troy yawns as the host starts asking for a new volunteer. Sophie is bouncing slightly with a grin on her face, excited to start the new year. This causes a smile to slowly form on Troy's face as he admires his girlfriend. A smile that immediately drops when the spotlight settles on him.
