Seating on the black tables, writing on her notebook, Shiyo was surprised when Takumi put different kind of books in front of her.

"Here!" Takumi as he settle down beside her.

"What is this for?" she wondered.

"Read it." He says and she did. The books have titles like How to make friends less than a day, Step on making friends, Be a friend, etc.

"Takumi-san, I'm not sure if these can really help me..." she's finding the words to politely refuse to read those books..

"It will." He smiles insisting she read them.

On the afternoon, she came back on the benches carrying those books.

"What happened?" Takumi asked in anticipation of good news but she just shook her head.

"It didn't work, I guess." He said guessing that she may have messed up or probably did not have the courage to do the instructions.

"Don't mind it. That's just the author's own opinions and suggestion." He cheered her up.

She sits beside him opening her notebook and staring at her notes. He watched her; seeing her expression, it seems like she came up with something. She started writing.

"What is it?" he asked curious leaning on her side to take a peek of what she is writing.

She noticed him and shut her book by reflexes. "No-nothing." She was embarassed.

"You can't tell me?" there's a disappointment on his tone and it worries her. There was silence and he took his attention in reading one of the books instead.

"It's just... I came up with a story." She finally said it.

"Oh you're writing a story?" he turned to her with interest.

"Yeah,.."she confirms in a low voice.

"What is it all about? Can I read it?" he was excited to look at it that she has to pull her notebook a distant away from him.

"Well..." there's always a room for hesitation on her mind like this moment when she wants to tell him the story but afraid he will not be interested.

"About-I wonder how can I be friends with everyone he he." She decided to tell him. The unsure laugh that followed worried Takumi and made him think.

It's another usual day where Takumi is keeping an eye on Shiyo. Their PE class is scheduled at the same time occupying different side of the gymnasium. He saw that a group of girls on her class started playing volleyball. He look at Shiyo's side and she was just standing there on the side looking down the floor like it's the only thing she can do. As she sighs, she felt a familiar cold hand pulled her. It's Takumi! They started walking as she was taken by him. She thought it was the cold weather the first time but she figured out that his hands are really cold.

"Excuse me, can you let this girl join your game? I bet she wants to play with you." That's when she realized that Takumi took her to the group of girls playing. "Right?" he smiled to her. He was moved by this given opportunity and she doesn't want to let his effort go to waste.

"Yes! Can I join? Please? Actually, I've been practicing a lot lately." she did not stutter and she thought that was the longest sentence she had ever made.

"Of course you can Shiyo-chan. We're not sure if you like playing and we are kind of embarrassed to ask you since you're quiet." The girl welcomes her to the group and she was happy. She gladly take the steps to go forward to their group and she remember to turn to Takumi to thank him. He gave her a gesture of 'OK' guessing what she's trying to say. Then he wink at her as he leaves. Finally, she's playing with the girls in her class.
