Takumi wake up on a hospital bed. He looks around and when he turn to the left side of his bed, he saw Shiyo sitting beside him praying and crying at the same time. He doesn't want to see her hurt like this. He raises his hand to reach for her and the moment he touched, it caught her attention.

"Takumi-san!" she was relief to see him open his eyes.

"Thank you." She holds his hand.

"I have to tell your mother... and the doctor..." she stands to leave but Takumi didn't let her hand go.

"I have a heart failure and too much emotion causes heart arrhythmias; irregular palpitations." He explained.

"I know." She nods. "Your parents told me." A tear fell from her.

"I can die from a heart attack...anytime. That's why...please just stay away from me." He pleaded as he withdraws his hand from her.

Shiyo burst out crying again.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes.

--She realized that his treatment might be the reason why there are days he can't see him. She doesn't know what to do. And she knows she can't do anything to help him...-- A tear fell on the notebook's paper as Shiyo stops writing.

"Why can't I stay beside you? When you stayed beside me..." she cried.

--They didn't meet since then. Even though the girl keep coming to the same black tables they used to occupy, there's no sign of him being there. She's too afraid to ask to his class if he's going attending school, afraid to learn that he might be sick in bed and drop out of school. She lives like an empty soul every day, back to the way she always is; alone. She feels like every seconds of laughter and happiness that they spent was just a dream. And she thinks it would have been fine if she never woke up from that.--

Staring in blank spaces from the window by her desk inside the classroom, she saw the first snow falls and there's only one person she's reminded of that she want to look at them with him.

Her classmates saw the same snow fall causing noise inside the classroom as everyone become excited.

"Remember to spend the day with someone special. Have a great time." The teacher said smiling while she dismissed the class.

"Yes, sensei." The class answered in chorus.

"Sensei! Spent the first snowfall with me!" a male student shouts.

The class made noise at their classmate. His friend arm locked him.

"You're too bold! Shameless!" Said the other guys. Their teacher just laughs it out.

This happiness cannot come through Shiyo. She kept on watching the snow as they fall, relating to them that she's like a snow, giving up to the earth's gravity without any strength to go against it.

Shiyo was walking on her way home. She passed by people who have someone beside them. She stand on a bus stop and raise her hand to catch a snow falling. The way it touch her hand feels cold. The same as Takumi's. But he's not there. She's all by herself now; alone. She felt like she want to cry.

The bus arrived and she went in.

She wonders if she didn't find out his disease, would he keep coming to her. Will that be better?

What if she had said she want to stay with him despite that? Will he let him? Or will he just hate her?

Is he also thinking about the things that she's thinking right now? Is he also thinking of her? Does she feel lonely without her like she do right now? She wanted to see him. While thinking of that she saw from the window as the bus passed by the road to Takumi's hospital and in impulse he stands up from her seat and push the buzzer for the bus to stop.

Takumi was looking through the glass window in his room at the hospital, located in the ground floor. He watches the snow falls and he admire how they fall effortlessly.

Shiyo was walking by the side of the hospital. She decided that she will just peek on Takumi and then leave. She paused before a window. She hesitated but started walking again.

"Shiyo..." that familiar voice startled her and made her dock and hide under the window.

She heard the window opened and it made her nervous. Did he see her? When she peek, she saw his hand trying to catch a snow as they fall freely.

"Are you alone again?" the way his tone sounds, it seems he's talking to himself.

"Can I stay by your side?" that sentence almost made her cry. That's what she wanted to hear.

"Of course!" she shouted in reply while sitting as tears started flowing from her eyes. That came a surprise to Takumi as he look down outside his window and saw her.

"Why...are you here?" he asked.

"Because our teacher said; spend the first snowfall with someone special."She answered looking up to meet his eyes. Smiling though there are signs of tears on her face.

"No, please go away." He looked away.

"But I love you! You love me too, right?" she stands facing him.

He couldn't respond.

"I don't need someone to cry on my deathbed." There's pride on his tone.

"I won't be like my dad, leaving my mom miserable." and there's caring and protectiveness on that last sentence.

She couldn't think of the right words to say.

"I understand. Go back to bed, don't open your window it's cold." She tries to close his window from outside but he hold her hand to stop her. It's usually his hand that's cold but this time it's her hand that is.

"Go home. You'll catch a cold." He can't help but worry as he tries so much to control his emotions.

Without any words, they stare at each other finding words to say.

"Please... go home." He pleaded.

"I love you..." a tear falls from her eyes. "I love you..." she continuous as her tear pours down and he feel helpless that all he could do is watch.

The snow keep falling making it called outdoors.

The next afternoon, Takumi was surprised to be visited by Shiyo.

"What are you doing?" he asked. A bit irritated.

"I told your mother, I brought you hot soup." Showing what she got.

She comes closer to him and prepares the soup on the table beside his bed. He pities himself looking how she's trying to be strong for him.

"Why don't you just go away?!" he snap and shrove things she prepared on the table causing the soup to spoil to her; she scream in pain. He freezes when he saw how her hand was burnt.

"It's alright, I'll just wash..." she smiles as she try to reassures him.

"Why are you doing this? I already gave up on you. I can't hold on to you." He clench his fist holding to his blanket.

"In stories, the Princess should just wait to be rescued by her Prince. Not like this; going all through the suffering-" he's lines where cut off.

"Don't you think it's the Princess' turn to hold on to her Prince?" she gave the alternative.

"Because the Prince has already done so much more than the Princess' ever ask for." She added smiling at him to give him strength. And those words were just right, her feelings has definitely been delivered to him. It's pure and beautiful that it made him cry. She sat beside him on the bed and hold his face with both hands.

"You're making me cry too." She blame him as a joke because she also can't help her tears fall.

"I really want to be with you. Please stay. Don't leave me." He finally said it his voice cracking.

"It's alright if it's not forever, just please let me hold on to you until I can't anymore." She compromise with him and he hug her. They hold each other so that if both of them is breaking they will fall into pieces together.
