It was dark outside. I could hear rain pounding outside of the cave I was in. I could hear crackling of fire deeper inside the cave. The wind blew, and a piece of paper blew in my face. I pulled it off and looked at it.

Xavier,

I need you in the deep end of the battle. Hurry and get back before the weather gets too bad. Don't forget the supplies in the cave. I mean it! If you need I can send Sam to get you. Don't forget to use your com.

Thorns were sticking out of the wound, oozing syrupy purple liquid. I suddenly realized that Naomi had hit him with her magic infused sword. I pulled out my whip and grew a sac of antidote. Then, I pulled a needle out of my whip and made a small hole in the sac. I dipped my finger in the antidote and spread it on his gash.

Then, I woke up.
