Stella's POV
I stared at the empty seat in front of me, my mind completely blank. In the background I could hear my sister talking, but the words sounded foreign. 'Why isn't he here?'I thought to myself. 'Is he still mad at me...?'I chocked back tears and laid my head on my arms.
An object hit my arm and I turned my head to the direction it came from. Evan gave me a worried look and I could tell what he wanted to ask. I just shook my head saying I didn't know either. He sighed and messed up his hair, I saw his eyes drift past me to look at something else. I followed his eyes and we were both looking at another empty seat. I shivered as I remembered what happened the night before. I quickly turned away and buried my head into my arms. 'What the hell is going on...?' I thought. My eyes became heavy and soon closed. Darkness began to engulf around me.
I sat there on the concrete, tears streaming down my face. My knee was badly scratched from falling and was bleeding nonstop. "Stella..." A small voice called right next to me. Looking over, my vision blurry, the boy placed a hand on my head and smiled softly. "Let's go clean your knee up alright? It'll get infected if you leave it like that."
I shook my head and wiped tears away. "I don't wanna move!" I whined, pushing the little boy's hand away. "I-it hurts..." A small hiccup escaped from my mouth as I stared at the blood dripping down my leg.
"Stop being stubborn, I know you don't trust me like you trust Evan...but please, Stell, I don't want you to get sick from this." The boy pleaded. I sniffled and gave a small nod. He smiled and gently placed his arm under both of my legs and the other on my back. He slowly picked me up from the ground and adjusted me in his arms.
I could hardly see anything besides the lights from outside the restroom. He made his way to the restroom, tripping over a branch or rock during the process. Once we reached our destination, he placed me down on the cement outside. I watched as his auburn hair disappeared when he went through the door. The sound of running water took over the noisy cicadas chirps.
After a minute, he returned, a wet paper towel in his hand. "If it hurts then grab onto me or something," he whispered before placing the wet towel onto my knee without warning. The coldness sent shivers up my spine and I quickly grabbed onto the boy's sleeve. He chuckled softly and dabbed the towel onto my knee, the blood slowly started to stop leaking out.
I took a shaky breath and looked at the boy. I grinned at him and said, "Thank you, Asher! I'm so glad you're here with me." The auburn blinked and just chuckled.
He wiped his hand onto his pants then placed it on my head and ruffled my hair. "Anything for you, Stella," I heard him whisper. Then everything faded into black.
"Stella." Someone shook me and my eyes fluttered open. I groaned and rubbed my eyes. Letting out a sigh, I looked up at the boy. "Good dream?"
I shrugged and looked around the room, only Evan and me left. I stood up and stretched. I grabbed my things and looked over to the raven haired boy. "Let's go~" I chimed as I started to walk out the room, leaving Evan with a confused look.
